Does money bring happiness?

  I always thought it was weird everyone said money doesn't bring happiness.
  
  Because this world revolves around money. You need money for your basic every day needs and for those not so every day needs. What if someone got sick and needed money for their medical fees? Not having money isn't that great, despite what everyone says. You're happy if you're comfortable and not feeling stressed.
  
  Of course, money is just a tool. What you do with it brings happiness to yourself and others. It can be the fleeting type happiness or the ever lasting kind. Either way, you do get happiness from it. Whether it lasts or not is up to you~

  kind of old thread, but i think this was interesting enough to bring the ideas together.
  
  I learned from my research studies that money does indeed increase happiness, but this plateaus at around the point where you can be financially comfortable, the operant amount being an individual salary of 75k.
