I liked FFIII on the DS the most. Mostly because the RT aspect really screws me over. For example:
"OKAY, CURAGA, JUMP, FIRAGRA, WAIT NO, FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-"

Firagra always makes me lol since it sounds like this one magical drug.

I liked FFIII on the DS more than FFIV. Mainly because I like job systems in games rather than a forced on party of FF4.
Though DQ9 does it better than FFIII.
I would actually like a FF9 remake.

DQ9 is such a grind-fest though. Re-classing to get certain boosts in stats, and then re-classing again to get more skill points for that class. Then finally Re-classing to make the class you want. God, if it weren't for Metal Slimes, I would've quit the game :L You don't have to do that, but it makes the game that much harder on you at certain points if you don't.

If you couldn't tell, FF8 is more "romantic"

True, but on the other hand the actual (non-grinding) battles are fun.
Plus character customization is the best I've seen on the DS.

Yup. The story was like all those massively-multiplayer-character stories though. I wished they gave your main character more emotion though. She/he basically stood there throughout all of the events and just waited until someone did something.

Yes. That made the character a badass because he barely cared.

Indeed.
