That sounds like a fun skill and some people would like that.
Also, what if you fail making an armor crystal?
They could make it so it's similar to enchanting maybe, like have the item lose dura, not completely destroyed.

Would help the idea. You wouldn't have to see your shiny dustin knight armor turned into a 2x2 item that looks like Iron Ore (not fragments)

Hehe, using crystals to entrap armor and capsules. Sounds like fun and will save inventory. But if such a feature were to be implemented, it might be a NX item, since it deals with space. X_x
Okay, this is a stupid idea, but imagine encasing pets in crystals to trade them. xD It'll be like pokemon.

Well, it doesnt increase inventory space, just decreases item space. Inventory space needs NX i assume the same way that you rent an apartment for the space. You rent the extra space on the server.
Also, I'll trade my Wonder-tomb for your thoroughbred.

Although, it kind of be a pain to have to redo the entire process and risk after taking it out of the crystal.

I thought there was a similar thing being implemented in G14 that I read somewhere. Though, I might be thinking of a different game. o.O

I'd be interested in a sort of "capture" alchemy ability.
Draw Circle -> Make campfire in center -> Activate -> Get fire crystals. # dependent on fire rank, capture rank, and fire placement.
Same thing could be done around a well, placed in a pond or whatnot or have water put in the circle for water crystals. Ores or around rocks for clay. In bad weather or on the balloon for wind.
...In all honesty, I just want a way to store my equipment in crystals. If I can put a golem in a crystal, why can't I cram my armour into one?

Get the reference? Hehe...
On topic:
I think it would be a wonderful idea to see this implemented, OP. However, how would you explain the 'spontaneous' creation of such crystals?

Nice catch, I had that idea too. along with the pokemon reference.
As for the spontaneous creation of those crystals, perhaps there are elements all around us, and with the continued use of those "un-condensed" elements, there causes an influx created by the element to make up for the lost elements already, thus creating crystals. Like how if you keep smashing the rocks in Sliab Cuilin, you get a clay crystal because the Clay elements are trying to make up for the lost stones you have already taken.

Alright, it took awhile to track down, but I found it! So there's something called a Medal for Pet Transaction which is basically like putting a pet in a crystal to trade off.
*****
[Image: http://i747.photobucket.com/albums/xx116/TriquetraStorage/Medal_for_Pet_Transaction.png]
When used it allows a user to store a currently summoned pet into the medal. Pet must have an empty inventory.
After the pet has been stored in the medal, it can be traded to other players. The medal itself can only be traded once.
During the trade, one can right click the medal to check the information of the pet being traded.
Using the medal after the pet has been stored will give a prompt to ask the player to rename the pet.
Pets can only be stored in medals 5 times. Time and outside sources do not affect the pet while they are in the medal. (i.e. They will not age up even if the time passes).
*****
So something for storing pets and to trade them is possible, just not implemented.

You now have a 2inch-by-3inch dustin armour-- minus the crystal. Have fun trying to re-expand it! :D

Pet Medal thing seems like a great way to train your pet forever, while keeping the nice companion bonuses of that Age 1.
You know, since they never age while inside the medal.

Agreed, but personally I'd enjoy the possibility of being able to trade/buy old limited edition pets from other players that I wasn't able to get because they came out before I started.

Dunno, seems cool but I rarely hear players comment on how rare a pet is. The only time I did was summoning a Skeleton and someone surprisingly commented on it.

True, but for pet collectors who didn't start at the dawn of Mabinogi, like myself, would find this useful. For example, I missed out on thunderbird because I joined after it came out and was taken of the shelf, so if someone was willing to sell this wonderful pet I'm willing to pay without a second thought to add to my collection. :blood:

I like that. Maybe the powers of Eweca and Palala could help creating them? Btw, I just remembered you can farm elementals from the Sprites, so why not be able to farm/get crystals from nature?
