What specs do I need to upgrade to play this game on highest?
-

Well, your Video Card should be pretty high end, but you probably want at least 3 GB RAM and a Dual-Core processor also.
VGA is the biggest thing though.

What's VGA?

vid graphics array
i would suggest turning everything into lowest resolution
if yu have a crappy video card + net, i suggest yu not play this game.
it gets frustrating when yu lagg and especially when yu host, yu wud also lagg other players

It's hard to say what you need to improve on if we don't know what you already have.
So what are your current specs?

Not sure what you have but I play on highest for this game except for AF @ 4x even when hosting or recording with FRAPs.

How do I check my specs? All I know is that the processor is Intel i5 and my video card is ATI Radeon 5450 from using Game Booster.

sakraycore wrote on 2010-12-18 00:29
oh if you have an i5 then all you need is a better video card. even a 5670 should be able to max it but I'd personally get at least a 5750 (if your PSU can handle it)

What's PSU? And how do I check it?

You'll need at least a 450w power supply if you want to upgrade to a good video card. You have a good processor, so getting a video card would help. The GTX 460 is great and only costs $170. Same with ATI cards. Personally, that's around the price I'd spend, since you have a decent processor. It'd allow you to play all games. Sure, you could get like a $110 video card and max out Vindictus, but this is only one game... throw in a bit more money, and you can nearly max out even the most recent games!

What motherboard do you have and how much ram do you have btw?
-
blizzire wrote on 2010-12-20 22:13
2GB of ram. Don't know what the motherboard is.

To (finally) address your question:
Basically, there are three computer parts that arguably impact high definition gaming the most. In order of importance this would be your graphics card and CPU (both are extremely important) and then RAM.
You have an i5 CPU which is great, hopefully your motherboard supports it. It probably does. 2gb of RAM is okay, not great, so you could upgrade that if you want. But as everyone has already said, upgrade your graphics card and you should see the biggest boost in gameplay.

Wouldnt need to improve that much if multi cores were supported. Enough bottleneck crap.
