Here's my application so far! What do you guys think?
Hi Kalika! I think this is a great idea to help improve the Vindictus community! Maybe I'll be able to help... here's my application!
[size="5"]Examples of Helping the Community[/size]
Here are some links to help show how I've personally helped the Vindictus community!
My "Evie: The Battle Scythe" guide, likely the most in-depth one across all of Vindictus:

My "Easy Ore Farming Mini-Guide" which covers how to mine and the best areas to mine, along with instructional videos:

An "Armor Set Guide" I reposted, reformated and added a bit of information to:

"How to do Laghodessa Raid" guide which I mainly reposted, though additional information was added:

Here is a little guide on how to do the "Strange Traveler Quest: Wait!" that I posted just to help out the community:

With the recent bug, here's a small guide titled "Heads up, how to read NPC text...":

Here's some information I gathered into a single concise post about "Permanent Inner":

[size="5"]Examples of helping distribute information![/size]
Here's how I've helped spread Nexon's word (from either the main site or GM's on the forums) and given Nexon's statements greater exposure among the Vindictus community!

[size="5"]Examples of a few Discussions or other things for the community![/size]
Below are some examples of discussions or threads to entertain the community and the like that I have created.
Here is thread just for sharing funny mottos with the community:

Here, as I have done many times, I let players know the game patch was up:

Here was a discussion thread I created about Staff Evie with my initial opinion before the Scythe was released:

A thread warning players that tokens were no longer resetting:

And there are many more! So, as you can see I have been very active in the community.
[size="5"]Events![/size]
I've participated in many Nexon events, I've even won a few of them!
I was a runner up in the End of Early Access Beta Contest Screenshot Contest (
link to entry) and I also got second place in the Campaign Poster Contest for my Gallagher submission (
link to entry)! I participated in several other contests as well, but I didn't win those! :P
[size="5"]Past GM Experience![/size]
I've been a GM in the past!
I was a GM specifically in charge of Events for the head Developer of L2jfree. L2jfree was an emulation project created to recreate Lineage II servers from scratch using Java as close in likeness to the official ones as possible.
Now, I'll admit that doesn't seem straightly on the up and up. However, this did give me great experience relevant to such a position as you're seeking.
I was an in-game GM as well as a Forum Mod. My general duties day-to-day would be answering player petitions in-game and assisting them however I could - if it warranted GM interaction, of course. But, I would also answer any questions players may have had. In addition to this, I would actively look for and very descriptively document bugs and/or glitches found in-game and send them both to our Head GM and the Developers themselves.
It is with that said, that I am very aware of bug reporting and passing along information and player concerns to Developers, as that was one of my main functions as a GM. I even so much as helped develop where I could, things such as NPC menus which were in HTML and I could understand, or incorrect mob spawns. I took the initiative and fixed many things on my own to help lessen the workload of everyone else involved, of course informing the higher ups of everything I was doing.
The position also massively focused on having to deal with naughty inappropriate players. So, I am versed with tact and have much experience with the proper amount of punishments equal to one's actions. Regardless of the magnitude of the actions or how badly a player offended, I would always quietly and tactfully privately inform the player of their actions, make sure they understood why they were being punished, and then carried out the punishment.
I never took any actions that would reflect negatively on the Developers, or the other Staff, as I understood I was representing the entire Staff with my actions and professionalism is very important. You can't insult your consumers or treat them as if they're not intelligent, regardless if you think so or not. It's important to always treat the community with the utmost respect and be on extremely politically correct professional terms at all times.
With that said, it was also my job to be in charge of Events. So, I was very involved with the community both on the forums and in-game. I had to figure out what the players thought would be fun, with their suggestions, on my own, or among myself and other GM's, and then carry out the events with or without other GM assistance. So, I'm very experienced in finding fun events to keep the community having fun!
I was also a Forum Mod due to my GM status and took part in moderating the server's forum and any responsibilities associated with such a position. The above described qualities were exhibited here as well, of course.
Contact information for the Developer can be acquired at request.
[size="5"]Forum Experience[/size]
I have a lot of Admin/Moderation Forum experience too!
I started running my own forums, or other forums for other people back in 1998. Since then I've gained a lot of knowledge with well over a decade of experience, and I am very familiar with all the ins and outs of forum moderation.
I have a lot of back end site administration experience as well, building forums from the ground up, skinning them, and everything else associated with created and running websites. I am very familiar with html, sql, css, Photoshop and other common things required of such a position. Of course, I'm also familiar with bbcode!
With my forum experience added onto my GM experience, I should require little to no training whatsoever. So, I should be very useful to you out in the field right from the very start!
[size="5"]I play Vindictus Myself![/size]
I play the game myself and I care a lot about the game and its community!
I actively play the game every single day for hours and hours. I'm not only familiar with what the players think, I'm one of them!
I want to improve the game and the experience for every player on Vindictus, so I would be very passionate about my work. If there are problems or popular suggestions the community has, you can bet I'll concisely summarize all relevant points and pass them along!
[size="5"]Closing[/size]
Just some last things I'd like to say!
Thank you for your time and for considering me for the position! Also for everything you do for us and the community every day! You've certainly earned my respect and regardless of my acceptance, I'm confident you'll be there doing a great job for the community!
Anything you guys would change?
