Am I the only one WHO CAN'T STICK to ranking 1 skill tab (Life, Combat, Magic, Alchemy)? I originally started off with Range (Refine before that...got it to 8 and gave up, regret that now) and got R1 Range and Mag. I then got sick of Range and wanted to try Magic...got Thunder to 9, Magic Mastery to 6, Ice Bolt to 9 and Lightning Bolt to 5...guess what? Got sick of that as well and am now currently ranking Alchemy. Now I'm getting sick of that and wanting to go back and complete Magic :T_T:
Does anyone else sometimes get this problem?
If this belongs more in Bean Rua, feel free to move it (but I figured seeing as it was Mabi related....this section would be fine).
P.S. Should I go through with this (I swear) last switch to Magic, where I'll 100% complete it? (meaning R1 most if not all Magic). I'm just so lost now :T_T:
P.S.S. Really wanted to get this off my mind, been bugging me for a while now (even with the distraction of MapleStory, I still kept thinking about what to do in Mabi...).

Lol, once you get Windmill and refine out of the way, it's FREE TO WHAT YOU WANT. Really, I have r9 ice spear, r7 thunder, lots of r1 melee/archery, rC tailoring, r9 playing, ect.
Really, just start ranking without REALLY worrying about much. It's now a free sandbox to you. XD

Yeah, I'm a hybrid of like everything except magic, and even then, I have rank 2 or rank 1 of each bolt. So don't worry lol. Every tab has useful skills that would be beneficial for all types of people.

When I go to other tabs, it's usually for skills I find myself using often. Such as first aid, healing, and rest. I don't regret it, because it compliments my gameplay.

Think about this when you rank skills
1. How will it help me level up or make money?
2. Does it stay consistent with my highest ranked class.
It is okay to rank whatever you want, but if you do that to too much, then you won't be as strong as other players of similar level.

It's fine you're not the only one
Mandatories:
rB taming
r1 refine
r1 windmill
did all of those first, then i jumped around alot..
r5 range -> rD mag -> r5 IS -> r9 IB -> r1 WC -> r2 other alchemy skills -> now thinking about going back to range ._.
of course this is just an overall summary, i have used skill resets and gotten random life skills too :V

I don't have this problem, but it doesn't surprise me as I am a perfectionist. My whole magic tab is F, and my whole Alchemy tab is N. I only have 2 life skills ranked, the ones listed in my signature, and the rest are F. I'm all melee/ranged, but sometimes that's a disadvantage to me.

I dabble in everything, but mostly because the last of my dex comes from things I'm too lazy to rank.

It's hard to. I was only going Magic but when Alchemy was released I had to share the AP between the two tabs. I can't focus on ONE though. Other tabs don't really interest me, well Life does more but Combat is like EH

I hate being a hybrid sometimes, but at the same time I can't stop myself from straying to multiple skill tabs. It sucks not being able to do the same damage than any pure end-game melee/mage/archer though. Alchemy on the other hand, was pretty easy to cap damage ;c

Don't hybridize unless staying true to 1 set will make you quit. Finish that then move on. The reason is that when you get to higher levels you will find that being so hybrid you won't be able to do anything you want to do, plus being strong in 1 area helps you make money. Being permanently midlevel is not IMO a good way to mabi.

Yea, I always rank random stuff in different skill tabs. Often at times, I get that skill to r1, and never bother using it again. I do this often too. Then again, I have the total level to do this easily.

I started on Combat and I keep branching into Alchemy.
I really need to get my Combat tab done.
