I decided to make a video guide on the best way to raft for explore. Sorry about the quality this is my first video editing try.

I'll go ahead and summarize this in words.
Skills needed:R1 thunder, R1 Lightening bolt is good to have also.
250-270 mana if you don't want to use any mp pots.
For explore (or tipping suits if you want gold) there is a simple method to getting the stars quickly.
1. As you start the raft turn on meditation.
2. Then go to the right front corner of the raft. Charge 1 Charge of thunder.
3. The first bank has 3 groups of mobs (3 archers and 1 shielder)
a. First group shields fire
b. Second group shields Ice
c. Third group shields Lightening. Lightening bolt can still kill this mob most of the time.
d. Release charge into the groups. If there are stragglers who missed quickly load Lightening bolt and finish them off.
4. Run to the left front corner of the raft. Charge 1 charge of thunder.
5. The second bank has 3 groups of mobs (1 shielder and 3 Lightening mages)
a. Release 1 thunder into each group. Look for ones in deadly and use lightening bolt to finish where needed.
6. You should have 4 Big stars and 3/4 small stars now. If you don't go to the back right oar and steer over to the right till your hugging the bank.
a. This group is only if your short on stars and consists of 1 fire shielder.
b. QUICKLY as soon as youve released thunder run to the back left oar and push as far to the laft as possible. Judge the timing and charge thunder for next part.
7. The next bank has 3 groups.
a. First group shields ice
b. Second group is 2 Warriors
c. Third group shields Lightening. Lightening bolt can still kill this mob most of the time.
d. Release thunder into the First and third groups. Let the warriors jump onto your raft.
8. Throw rock to make the Warriors kill you. Respawn back at raft begininng. Collect reward.
Total time= 3 mins 15 secs. Total Exp= 18-21k. after the loss of exp from respawning)
This in my opinion is the best way to raft for the following reasons.
1. Speed
2. Avoid raft glitchers
3. Boredom. The reason I include this is once you've done this so many times you can watch a movie and raft or a tv show and grind this for 2 hours without even trying. I noticed that when I did all 3 stops I would get annoyed with the long session of playing dead on first leg and would quit within a few rafts.
Happy rafting.

Intresting method =3. Certainly faster than the traditional method of just stopping at each stop.

I think this way is only good if you don't mind blowing 5k a raft, or have a lot of wood saved up.
With r1 Thunder I was always able to get at least the 2nd amount of max stars on the 2nd part and away get full on 1 and 3. Maybe you should do some tests and see which way would be faster.
I think your way may be faster since of the super long way after the 1st part but i'm not sure. :s

Well here is the thing. If you need money. Do 5 big 3 small and *cough* get a tipping suit and NPC it for 23k...Pays for the rafts.

I dislike this, 'How to Raft efficiently' It depends on what you think is efficient, and what that person has at its disposal.
When the video says 'How to raft effciently with Thunder'
:/
Make topic name clearer.

I just made a tutorial of my own thats rendering now with me using Crash Shot.
Basically with r1 Crash shot you will use it 9 times a raft (Not including misses) which will only use 135 Mana. With a 2200+ range bow you can hit the group where mages have to move the raft for. Crash shot can also knockback kill those magic shielders into the mobs which is also a plus.
Oh and its pretty efficient. You only have to pay 135k for the 27 rafts which can be easily be made back from SM grinding or just by getting 6 tipping suits, less if you sell the Mana herbs as well.
This also effectively beats normal rafting.
Normal Rafting: 8260 - 8780 explore exp/ 11 mins or 750 - 798 explore exp/ 1min
Awesome Rafting: 3180 explore exp/ 3.11 minutes or 998 explore exp/ 1min
Variables of:
- Dying
- Missing
- Stopping at docks
- warping back to starting point
- Gathering wood
- Making the raft
- afk time
Are not included.

Freaken Ninja. However you crash shot raft differently then me and mines voice commented so I will still render it and post it.

hate when that happens, and it seems to happen a lot in SMs. When you try to shoot stuff right as you get in range (before they start moving around)

Thats why you never do it at 99%, I've learnt that firing at 70% - 90% is much better in terms of hitting:missing. Started doing that when I missed 3 times in a row at 99%. Stupid server lag screwing up range.
