Personally, I never thought vindi was a good game, but if it has a storyline similar to mabinogi, I might just try it for that.
So nation, is it worth it?
and i also want to know if it is possible to play through the storyline without spending nx or hours of playing.

to me the story is pretty good but the missions are annoying...

Maybe if Nexon actually fixed the dialogues getting cut off problem and some translations it would be alright.
The plot doesn't seem to be nearly as elaborate as Mabi and Boat 4's storyline is basically a filler...
No NX required, if you rush it shouldn't take too too long, so sure why not.

Boat 3 was filler, boat 4 actually contributes to the main storyline.
Boat 1: Introduction to the Fomor Threat
Boat 2: Fomors Spread
Boat 3: Random Town has Vampires.
Boat 4: Large, full-scale battle at Fobellow Prairie.

Boat 3 isn't a filler, but rather VERY poorly explained.
In boat 3 you are given a large number of vague hints that you're working for douche bags who might be siding with the fomors. Turns out the pontiff's court unleashed the vampires on Ainle, and they let Ellis be a "special investigator" knowing he'd die, since he snooped too much and found out things he shouldn't have.

We also find out in Boat 3 exactly who the mysterious Nyle is, and how he and Brynn relate to Tieve.

The story is okay
but they seriously need NPC allies who would aid you (if soloing)
to create a sense you're part of the story

They do aid you. They come with you all the time. You just don't see them.

I find the story interesting and I was greatly disappointed that the dialogues don't scroll down anymore.. Or do they scrolll down in the first place.
And yes the NPC's talk to each other and to you as if they have joined you in your battles. But ofcourse you couldn't see them actually in the dungeon. It would be coll if you could though. ( I'd love to see Kristie's red hair running around the dungeons and kicking fomor ass)

Didn't they fix the cut off glitch?
And if you can't see it, you can always read it in the NPC tab of the chat.

I really like the storyline, actually.
But the dialogue gets cut off and drives me CRAZY.
It's kinda bashy. Sometimes I don't play for weeks and sometimes I run out of tokens in a day.
Nx is really unnecessary, unless you really want plat/crimson tokens. Underarmor... I like eyecandy so I'd only buy that if it's permanent. Same with hair. (I used up my coupon a day before the new Evie hair came out...)

To the OP:
I would relate the storyline released so far to less than half of a generation's worth of storyline in regular old Mabinogi. If you don't like the gameplay there's no reason to torture yourself for it, just have someone summarize it for you.

How true.
