o.o Never knew you had enough stamina to throw down a mine and then go for a firebolt.
You'd probably have to wait a second or two but if the boss is down and you have like 40 stamina you should be able to get a fireball in.

You can do it if you start at full stamina, don't run for long, and just do the Attack Eagle Talon. It's what I do on spiders when they're down and I'm middle way. lol.

Oh cool, even less reason to use the dawn rings then.

*coughs* I'm saying this while using Dawn Rings. I always wear two, because it lets me get off heals and not run out. But like I said. :P Situational and what you want to wear. There is no, "you should use this only!!"

Personally, I still use Dawn Rings even though I'm Scythe. Its not just about "learning to manage your stamina", because yes, I've learned to manage it, and on top of that, I get 20 extra stamina to do things with. The percentage of increase that the Dawn Rings give you is RIDICULOUS compared to the percentage increase that the Thorn Rings give you, and I love my stamina. I just don't see myself switching anytime soon.

Yeah I do have to clarify that all of us that play with Dawn Rings do in fact know how to manage our stamina.
They're not crutches that we need to play the game as well as you guys.
Instead they give us more of a certain resource than you guys get which allows us to do MORE than you guys. Get into risky situations for 110 stamina, but it's not risky at all for 130 stamina because you have enough to blink out. Magic arrow one more time from full stamina (which may or may not do more damage than int rings), resurrect people without having to wait for all of your stamina to come back, firebolt after setting a magic mine, etc.

I can use Firebolt immediately after using Magic Mine, when using what PandaSong calls the "Attack Talon," even with a maximum of 110 stamina. Of course, someone starting with 20 more stamina, would have 20 more stamina left over. The resurrection example is a better one, for scythie at least, but most people I know will tell you to use all your feathers, before activating that skill (during combat).
Whether you need it or not, it still makes the game safer and easier to play. But, for people who tell you it's a crutch, remind them of how they're wearing armor. Doing more damage per attack and being able to take more hits (by wearing stat-boosting armor) is just another kind of "crutch."

The new thorn rings are worth using over dawn rings. Level 70 Evies on KR still use thorn rings at 70, thats how good they are.

I look at the argument like this:
Dawn Rings: I'd like to have the extra stamina in case I need to attack one more time.
Int Rings: I'd like the extra int to ensure I don't need to attack one more time.

oh god,
circular reasoning! it burns!!
but yea u speak the truth. a bit of verbatim but stick with int unless you notice you die because of low stam, which is a sign that you arent managing stam properly however.
like whocares said sort of, it's kind of similar to the argument of heavy armor vs Cloth-Damage vs survivability. You're choice. (coughsurvivabilityisntthebestchoice)

o_O I still use my Dawn Rings for Raids. The rings basically go, "Change when needed". There's no reason to say a person is really bad or not depending on what rings they wear, because (like I've said) they can be changed for each occasion. Now, if the player doesn't change them and just sticks with whatever cause they're lazy, then yes I'd say they're bad.
But then, Scythes don't need to change rings. ;( Your guys's SP skill for regening Stamina is so hax.

Why would it mean they're bad if they're lazy? They could just be lazy. Seriously you probably wouldn't notice the damage boost from thorn rings, whereas you will notice the stamina boost from dawn rings.

Because for a Staffy, the equipment is actually the key to most things. That and your play style. If you're a good player you won't notice the difference between rings at all. I know I change mine because I like the tiny boost that you do when soloing, but I change it back to Dawn Rings when I'm in an actual group (especially PUGs, because sometimes you need that extra boost). It's not to say that everyone who doesn't change their rings are lazy and bad -- it's just that the ones who are lazy and bad players.. They need all the help they can get. D:
