I tried looking at a simple review of this and left the page....:worry::scare:
I'm glad I saw y'all's thoughts on this game and all,cause I almost downloaded it.
Games...don't get scarier than this,right? >_>;
Games can get scarier than Amnesia to be honest
For example, the monster's models can be changed to look more creepy/disturbing
the AI could've been smarter or possess senses
or there could've been zombie dogs
there's lots of possibilities
but Amnesia's scare factor is good as it is or else people won't play/buy it
btw downloading demo,
what does the demo have?
btw what most people thought when playing Amnesia

My thoughts in this game...
First of all, its really amazing for an indie game. The voice acting is really good and the sounds create a frightening atmosphere. It's a puzzle/adventure game, so you can expect plenty of puzzles. The puzzles themselves are actually very easy and logical. All you have to do is get this, get that, turn on that, find this, etc. The story itself is also awesome, you uncover information about the character through little notes you can find around. The **** moments are terrifying, like the water level for example. The gameplay is also refreshing, no weapons, all you can do is hide in the dark or in a closet... Kinda wish the monsters would be a bit smarter, they could at least check the closets themselves before leaving the room (like the guest room).

You get use to the disembodied limbs. The one thing I can't get use to is that fountain with a face on it and a scorpion like tail with blood and everything.

I watched an entire Let's Play of it. I gotta say honestly, this is one of the best games I have ever seen. The scare factor is just ENORMOUS! Though, I do wish you could see those water horror things. Spoiler: The part that Zid talked about was scary, but one thing that got me was when you go into one of the torture rooms, with an Iron Maiden, and it opens up, the screen shakes and gets all blury and blood comes out in a smokish way. Yeah....I paused for a second and, "Ohhh gosh.....Applause for Amnesia, that really got me...."

The actual model for a zombie is actually kinda funny.
The closer they are to you, the less scarier they are xD.
