People that do not like anime

  there are people that apparently do not like the anime art style and still play mabi

  I personally don't think people should play it if they don't like the style of it purely because of the fact that you have to look at it every time you play
  
  edit: sense people really love to assume that they understand what I mean by anime art style, and possibly not read the rest of the posts that come after the first one
  
  in general it's the art style mabinogi has, you can't truly say it's realistic and you can't really call it a cartoon either

  I don't play Mabinogi because of the anime art style. In fact, I don't really care. I just like the fighting system.

  I like the clothing system. Rarely will you find a clone, and a unique fighting system is a plus.

  Just because people don't like Anime doesn't mean they can't play Mabinogi. It isn't necessarily an anime-style game. And, like people have said, the combat system is what a lot of people play for. Mabinogi is a lot more unique than most other games, and allows for a lot of customization.

  I was just starting a topic o-o
  and "anime style" refers to how mabi's characters are and the art etc,(not necessarily anime in general) it's towards the people that actually say they hate mabi's artstyle
  
  and it's why people tend to find something that fits their aesthetic needs as well as gaming needs, I mean after all the combat and etc, what else is there for you if you don't like the art style? (that is to say if they came for combat)

  I haven't really watched anime since around 2002. I've just kind of gotten sick of it I guess. It's not that I hate anime itself... just the retarded plots/characterization/weaboos ingrained in the anime of today.
  
  I like playing mabi because it's a better looking runescape with less grind.

  I can see where people are going though, anime/manga looks are still going to be correlated with games like Maplestory or Runescape. It looks cartoon and that makes it look childish and simple. Games that cater to an older audience are usually realistic looking.
  
  Personally I don't like how Mabinogi looks because I think it could look better. However it's rare that I even stop and think, "Hey this looks very anime and cute" because I'm too busy stabbing a spider or fighting dragons in a flimsy balloon. It weeds out the people who are more concerned with looks than the gameplay.

  Do I think Mabinogi would be better with a better art style? Yes. Do I really care as long as I can slay a dragon with a dagger and a rock golem with arrows? No, not really. I personally don't like anime but damn Mabinogi is just too good of a game to be weighed down by crummy graphics. The service on the other hand is very irritable... Also G1-G3 Promos made the style look epic.
