The thing that bugged me, is how gravity affected only certain layers or dreams.
Like if you were free-falling in the real world, then you'd get zero gravity in the first layer.
But even though the first layer had zero gravity, the second layer still had gravity.
Wouldn't it make more sense for all the layers to be connected, similarly to how sound penetrated all layers?
Give yourself a cookie, as the movie plot makes no sense in that regard. :thumb:
How I think it should have happened [Highlight for spoilers]:
The movie says that one's senses are dulled somewhat to the "reality" a level above, hence how the Japanese guy was less bothered by his bullet wound as he went into dreams within dreams. But, he was still affected. Similarly, I'd expect one falling to affect them to some extent in every layer, even if it was just like micro-gravity one level down.
One other thing that bothered me (as one who thinks too much) [Highlight for semi-spoiler]:
If we only use 10% of our brains or whatever, and using all of our brain power in our dreams speeds our perception, allowing 6 minutes to feel like an hour, then how does going to a dream within a dream allow us to tap into 1000% of our brain power and perceive things even faster? I have had a dream within in a dream, and I doubt my perception of time was any different two levels deep than while simply dreaming.
