Hi guy's I've been asking around Mabinogi and I keep getting different answers for my ever so longing question. How high can elf basic shot hit?
Well this may sound vague, but listen to this criteria-
1. No Godly Weapons (ex. I'm using a basic Long Bow)
2. No Enchants on Stuff
3. No Stat Boosting Food
4. Just the Simple Ranged attack
So I just want to know what the damage is at R1 Ranged Attack for Elven Remember no other stuff like- some other skill to boost by 32731878%. However do count if say my amount of Dex is....300.

With 300 dex and an upgraded longbow, you'd have I'd guess at least 170 max damage in the character window, so around 340 with each Elven range shot.
Getting 300 dex is a pain though, so Enchants are a better choice when you're looking for damage.

only 170 max with 300 dex?
im using one 190 llb with 250+dex and have 180 max without enchants o_O

And are you using human ranged? Iirc that gives greater bonus damage from just ranking the skill.
And I think you missed the words "at least."

with no equips except a completely clean longbow and final shot master title, my max is 209. with title and no equips, i have 440 dex.

you will need enchants if you're going to want to do decent damage. there's really no way around it.

You can guess/estimate by calculating out 4 max damage for every 10 dex. 300 dex is around 120 max damage.
Whatever your theorycrafting is, it is still best to get as much as you can from skills/levels/whatever.
Enchants helps, but you don't need top of the line enchants to do some extra damage.

yep human range and sorry didn't noticed i was wearing finest handmade arrows. They add +10 max

Well I just got an idea. I'm gonna (defiantly) get R1 or Master Critical, then try to find a high Critical based bow. And sha-pow every hit is 200%.

your crit rate is 30%. Higher just helps piercing enemy protection

ninja'd my previous post but i think this will be missed so reposting here
For example, if you hit one enemy with 0 protection. You have 30% chance to crit each hit regardless your crit %
If you hit one enemy with 30% protection. You'll need 61% crit to have 1% chance to crit (like for example, siren)
And in the same monster, you'll need 90% crit to have your 30% chance to crit
