ya vast is a good one until you can get a metal needle. but I thought we were talking about pro set? So thats what I put up. Although most of the people I know who are looking for that setup will opt for clothing + 2 accessories since they can get another 5-10 max, but then you have about 1/2 the def
Fair enough... just thought I would list a much easier option that gives almost the same bonus and is not a random value. =d
edit: Though 'almost' is a bit generous, I suppose.

Duke enchant will be replacement for wyllow. You can do spike instead of horn. You just lose some crit and a couple damage points.

level 50/15 age 17 human +23 max from str
Add the Warrior class's buff (+.5 Str per lvl), and that +23 becomes +50 max damage.

Arch, you mean Steel Needle right? Metal needle is only +6max....
Oblivion will be the new pro enchant which comes in g14.
Oblivion White Horse Clothes (+17 max damage) w/ 2x Oblivion Earthquake ACC's (+16 max damage each) = 49 max damage
And I believe with Artisan upgrades Broads > War swords.

Heres a fun little debate on maximum windmill damage

Quite a interesting read.

Clever way of sneaking a question topic into Mabinogi Talk.
1. "Pro" status is obtained by wearing flashy gear and using r9 Rest in Dunbarton.
2. Realistically, enchant oblivion on everything and wear either white horse or conceptual clothing/armor. Steel Needle is an amazing enchant. Also consider using the fleet enchant.

Metal Needle? Amazing? Umm....
+6 Max Damage when lvl 32+
+2 Min Damage when lvl 24+
+2% Critical when lvl 16+
-12 Max Damage if Ranged Attack Rank 9+
How is that amazing compared to:
Wooden Needle:
16 Dex
+8 Max Damage if Combat Mastery Rank 5+
+6% Critical
+4 Max Damage if Combat Mastery Rank 8+
and
Steel Needle:
+5 Max Damage If Combat Mastery Rank 7+
+1~4% Critical If Critical Hit Rank 9+
+100% Repair Cost
+5 Critical
+7~11 Max Damage If Combat Mastery Rank 4+
Oblivion > Extraordinary, Corundum, Stout, Fleet, Diamond, Topaz, Quartz for Prefix. Steel Needle is still the best prefix for gloves.

I like how a question about getting mid-range enchants immediately drew out all the pro end-game answers.
For heavy armor, Defensive Imp capitalizes on the strength of wearing heavy armor" protecting you, while giving a relatively minor boost to offense. Victorious/darkness valencia can be pretty pricey compared to most of the other suggestions I'll make in this post, but offers a fairly simple way to get a decent chunk of damage, but sacrifices defense. The main advantage of this armor is the lack of need to deal with replacing accessories when they die. Vic/Darkness is up to +21 damage, but a less than maxed out darkness is likely much cheaper.
For something less strenuous to get, Victorious/Pirate light armor offers an ok amount of defense, and some offense. Much cheaper repairs than heavy armor too. Can wear one accessory with. +21 damage counting accessory (of note this option also has 6 def, 1 protection, plus 2/0, 1/1, or 0/2 to that from accessory, before upgrades.
One of my favorite tactics back in the day while farming rabbie/albey red for fomors, was to save a fox/whatever popo's shirt and pants that the metal skeletons would regularly drop. If I found one with a perfect 4/2 fox, I'd overwrite the suffix with something and call it good. Wild Boar would be a stellar candidate for this. Can wear two accessories, offering about +25 damage.
for accessories: corundum, diamond, or topaz/wild boar accessory , and when the accessory wears out, get an enchanter to burn it and enchants the scrolls on a new accessory. If either or both enchants fail to burn out, they aren't too hard to replace (collect a small supply of these accessories to avoid having to go without while replacing or finding an enchanter). +9 per accessory, already factored in above.
Stiff/Wild Boar hat or Wolf Hunter/Wild Boar hat are both really easy to get, but still very potent. For a bit more challenge/money Corundum/delusional cap is still a pretty big damage hat. +9 for budget, +14 for delusional.
Vast, when it comes out, sounds like it will be a really sweet deal for the effort/cost of getting it. much less expensive than wooden needle. Again, Wild Boar is a really solid suffix to throw on anything, unless some other suffix with stronger boosts drops into your lap. Victorious/wild boar bracelet is pretty cheap too. +9 for vic/boar
Raven boots are a lot more scarce these days, but it really is very hard to match the damage of even middle numbers for the random range of +max. I don't even know of anything in g13/14 makes them obsolete yet. Corundum, diamond, or topaz/raven boots are too expensive, then go with wild boar. from +11 to potentially +14 damage.
+63 max damage for the more budget-oriented suggestions.
melee weapons or bows can equally use the tried and true old combination of wolf hunter/raven. Though I will point out that between boots and two weapons all bearing the raven enchant which gives -3 defense, you're negating somewhat the benefit of any heavy or light armor you wear; I'd go with the philosophy of "pros don't get hit" and use clothing; getting more damage too.
Total price? probably less than the cost of getting even one of the pieces of a pro set.

Thank you! Mid-range was definitely what I was looking for. :)
Also, you didn't mention Oblivion anywhere in there. Is it because it may be hard to get?

According to the awesome people at
http://seraph.heliohost.org/db/database.cgi oblivion drops from Giant Big-Horned Gnu.
I can also seeing Vast being a highly popular enchant (Like insanely popular), first from its accessibility from Their Method which is one of the most spammed SM's in Mab and its stats being highly appealing to archers. Vast Dignified/Elegant is +10 max damage and +10 - 12% Critical which will be highly sought after.
As for Melee, Wooden Needle is still better and Steel needle is still the ultimate enchant for prefix gloves for Melee. Oblivion however has made clothing much more accessible to get, as opposed to the ***** that is Habit. Oblivion White Horse effectively beats Habit White Horse by 2 max damage when using master of shock title for the +4% max damage increase in accordances to ACME's layout of best Melee Damage for g12.
