I browsed around quite a bit and couldn't really find the right answers, sooo..
what are some primary skills to rank for a pure melee Giant? I already have r8 Combat Mastery, rA (35% away from r9) Windmill and pretty good equipment. Everything else is rE or below.
I do know the basic fundamentals of Melee, just not so much with Giants. Her total level is only 4x at the moment, she's freshly made.
So, any advice on what skills to continue ranking/start ranking first?

Windmill, then stomp?

Basically any giant combat skill, windmill included, is insanely easy to train so start off with windmill and then do either smash, combat mastery, or stomp. Either way you go you'll end up at the same destination.

Don't forget about that Throwing skill for that small amount of strength.
WM and critical hit should be your primary skills as a giant though.

Unrank combat mastery and see that WM is rank 1 asap.
Throwing and stomp, master it too, asap.
And I would honestly at least have rank F firebolt hot key'd for ranged knockback reasons.
Anyways, melee giants are always starved for dex. Its their most important stat in my opinion. Refining is an absolute must, and then tailoring/music/whatever

Honestly, I think your CM is waaaay too high already.
Your first priority should be WM, yes, and r9 Crit+ to keep CP down.
Giants have rather high CP [Age 17, rC WM, rF everything else including CM, with rN Counter, level 1x, and my CP was already ~250.]
I would say that rD or rC CM would be absolute maximum for now until you get r1 WM.
WM is blissfully easier to train than Elves and Humans, in the earlier levels and all the way to r1 the emphasis is on higher-CP monster kills [unlike Elves/Humans], which with melee giants can take out in a breeze. For r4, I believe the requirements for Strong/Awful kills are cut by close to 90%, with more emphasis on Boss kills, which by then would still be Zombies probably.
I feel like I kinda preached a little there, but I just want to help out. ~.~
And yes, we have very low DEX. Which, I think is valuable for Refining, especially if you Refine in Vales for your fails which adds another -5% to success rate.

Already working on Stomp, though I'm stuck with CM until I can get a Skill reset capsule or two (not for at-least a week and a half).
I ought to still have some luck ranking WM gradually, though. I find a good spot that I can gather another 2 or so ranks from, and that's just one place which I will likely rank up today anyways. So I'm not too worried otherwise.
Otherwise I'll work on Critical hit then. Thank you. <3

You're DEAD WRONG.
WRONG WRONG WRONG.
CANT BE ANYMORE WRONGER.
Windmill becomes a NIGHTMARE at rank 5+ even WITHOUT having ranked a SINGLE OTHER SKILL.
And now you'll see zombies at Strong when you reach around rank 3 and you'll cry.

xD I meant prior to r5, actually..
I spent a lot of time keeping my Human friend company whall he was training from r3 to r1 at Zombies, so trust me, I do know how painful it is. He had a ton of CP, too. Poor guy.
I just don't expect to rush right into r1 Windmill, though, but I sure will be training it as much as I can. I just meant I'm not too worried for getting UP to r5, but not past it.
I cringe at the very thought of r5 -> r1. But before I even do that, I'm getting my hands on -CP things and avoiding lots of +CP skills.

One of these days people will learn to stop spreading bad information about windmill... *sigh*
The skill is easy to train. Just do it. Dont' waste money on skill resets or anything like that.

In the beginning-mid ranks, I agree..
But the last 5, or at-least 3 ranks.. it's really time consuming.

Giant Windmill is extremely easy to train compared to humans or elves. Don't bother deranking your Combat Mastery and just go ahead and work on Windmill.
I started out giant and was primarily melee until total 700 or so. Then I transitioned to mage. I got Windmill to r4 at 1.3K CP. I probably could finish it but I don't need to.
My advice: Rank your Windmill first to r1 and don't rank anything else until then. Then get Refine to r1 before ranking any skills that may give dex. Getting Refine out of the way will give you quite a bit of Dex so you can somewhat properly wield them low balanced weapons like the Battle Hammer. Since Stomp training is CP-based, get that out of the way, to at least r5, methinks. Stomp was useless before the renewal so I never trained it. Some giant with r1 Stomp needs to come in here and add something.
I guess after Wm and Refine and Stomp, Smash will be your best next one to rank. Don't forget to get Charge and I personally recommend any giant train it.
After that, I'm not too sure. Hopefully a good melee giant will come in here and give further advice.

All I know is, I love Stomp. I first discovered it while running Par, since you can't do anything without it if you're a low level Giant.

Yeah but unfortunately that's the only place where Stomp actually deals a lot of damage. Bandersnatches and Snow Zombies are weak to it but that's the only monsters that are. Otherwise, Stomp is a close-range stunner or deadly-finisher to me. Then again, I never really trained it. It's only at rA. I've yet to meet a r1 Stomper and dungeon with them unfortunately.
