Wand Ego advice?

  Which goes all the way back to my statement saying ego wands are mostly to show people that you are a pure mage. And the OP ask for the usefulness of ego wands and all of the positives. I can think of almost No advantages and the ones it does have are so minimal that you could ego a dagger for the same purposes (blessings and stuff).

  That's because nobody uses chaincasting that often anymore. I have my magic tab almost done, and didn't have an ego wand for a while. I used a gladius, but decided to try an ego wand for myself. You don't really need to list people who don't use an ego wand because of their totals, that doesn't prove anything.
  
  Neikie Agamora is a great mage and she uses an ego firewand, and she's done more research on magic than half of the people in your list (which is Trigger and you).
  
  Ego wands are better for chaincasting than regular wands and that's it.

  I've owned an ego lightning wand, and currently have an ego'd dittes sacred lightning wand. I havent used my dittes in weeks, I used to swear by my lightning egos, but since I only really use thunder with a speedcast metal lightning wand, the ego has stayed in my inv. Initially, I loved the awakening and the chaincast +4 lightning was fantastic for clearing out lower level dungeons, I just dont really find I need it any more. I wouldnt have a clue about fire wand egos, but yeah. I do see more thunder damage out of it but really, that extra .5 of a second charge gets me killed sometimes, so i'm always using the speedcast wand.

  Ego wands are rather obsolete. Especially with G13-14 S/R upgrades and trinity staff. Ego wands may have already been obsolete but the content to come just finishes the job. Chaincasting with them has its uses but they are few and mostly for lower leveled folks with lots of money (and how many of those are there lol) - I say this because chaincasting bolts is weak, but egoes are expensive. G13 we'll see bolt and element damage increase, so maybe chaincasting will be nicer again. However chaincasting with a non-ego wand might be more useful since you can S/R upgrade them and also not worry as much about ego repair. Of course, Trinity staff would be my magic-item of choice; unless using blaze. With the trinity staff you won't lose mana when changing weapons, you can choose the element of the situation (do you need lightning? fire?), nice upgrades and enchantable. Downside? Getting it... is not that hard. Repair? No more than an ego. Lack of shield? You're a mage, stop getting hit. The only real downside I see is lack of blaze, and party healing (unless I'm wrong).
  
  Like Kaeporo said, 2h sword egoes are also out. The only decent egoes people should invest in (at this point) would be bows (range distance unparalleled, damage still slightly higher), 1h sword egoes, and possibly blunts.
