In fact, you can't even windmill spam it at rank 1 windmill. o.O
Things I hate about SCC
- Lancers splash
- FAST aggro
- Dual Archer Aggro
- Droppleganger not standing FUDGING still- Dying to stupid stuff like fighters breaking the game and 4 hit comboing.
I've raged quit. This is to fudging frustrating to do via solo. Back to Good ol' Their Method.
This right here. The ghost is easy, the mobs are interesting, I can take hits, but a magnum is just overkill....I miss my pet skills from Ciar Adv (Makes note to go do). I've smashed milled him successfully often, but there's always ONE time where he runs so far, and you get that position lag where on your screen, you look like you're about to smash him, yet you're 5 steps away. When I see this, I load wm, but when I spin, he's already loaded WIND BLAST! It's always WIND BLAST!! I really need to work on my pet skills....
Do you mean Crash Shot?
I really don't like to go pure archer in that mission. Crash shot is able to pull off a LOT of dmg if it crits, when it doesn't the dmg is so lame its hardly worth the mp. I usually start with a crash and pray it crits, after that i switch for shield and def+mill and crit wm my way in
Unless mobs have their ridiculously fast aggro, its easy to solo it that way
Oh yea poisoned bow works too, if crash doesn't crit but manages to poison the target, that's a lot of dmg you'll be doing there already (notice poison will only proc on the main target, not on the splash targets)
If you critical hit, yes, everything dies. If you have good damage, and don't critical hit, the main target dies guarenteed and the rest are at least at 50% (with mastery title, even less). Although I have killed all w/out crit lol If you do fail to kill everything though, just re-aim at another target and finish the job. The thing about Crash shot is it doesn't aggro the splashed mobs. If you're using an ego bow, like this fellow here, you have very nice distance with which to work with. Stand beyond 2,000 range of your targetted enemy, aim, shoot. You shouldn't be aggroed by anything. Rinse, repeat like I said.
Yeah, at most I'd say you can expect to spend 30 MP per wave if you don't crit once, or don't have high damage. But still, that shouldn't be that bad compared to the HP you lose per WM, all the MP you lose when you flaw and need mana shield, and all the rage you get when you die :) As for the boss + lag, it's a pain. And despite what I just said, WM is good here. If it's loading flamer, dopple summon (2nd time), water cannon, or wind blast you can WM to cancel it. Thus, smash/WM or mag/WM works great here. I never use pets past the first two crash shots, since I don't like to risk more summons.
That's server lag, it usually walks around a little bit... but if you time it right, it should still come within r1 WM range shortly after a magnum.
Are you talking about hardmode? You'd need 600+ max damage for a non-crit to take 50% HP off a gold fighter spawn. For Advanced, over 300 max is enough and what you say would be correct. Generally it does take 1~3 crash shots per spawn, though, since one of those three is very likely to critical, and it often does within the first two.
Hmm maybe I'm not thinking of gold spawns. Well regardless I hit around 400 max w/out trans at best. I also use master of crash shot title for the extra 10%. I do also have very high crit, additionally I use an ego wing bow which has high crit/dmg/range...:worry: so maybe my assumptions are a tad high. Maybe you Should just do advanced until you get higher
Oh and with what you said about it walking back within WM range after a mag, YES absolutely true :) Don't leave your post and try chasing it because it'll just move further or load a skill while walking away from you. If you wait with WM you should nip it before it does anything, then just smash or mag again
I've seen people go on there horses Crash Shot -> Windmill -> AR -> Pet-Swipe Smash -> Bolt to finish them off. That is not full archer though mixed with some melee and tiny bit of magic. About max damage I do not know.
