Communication through every web means except the ticket system unfournatly.
However, it's not ALL of nexon that's taking time out of the schedule to produce these things you realize right?
They have people assigned to answer tickets, they have people assigned to produce these web videos, people assigned to x and x task.
You get the picture right?
I agree with this. Every section of Nexon has a personalized team and if their are ever problems (which always occur since no game can be absolute perfect) and the personalized team needs 'help' then they have to go out of their way to go find that help which could mean having to contact Nexon Korea which would then need a english to korea translator and that translator would need to be able to translate code.
To add to this, the problem I see with Alexina is that some of the servers for them (50 - 85% of them) are down and being replaced but are still used so people can still play the game and earn some sort of $$$ for Nexon since they are a company, that has free to play games and needs money to run those games.
As for the Live Chat, it sounds interesting and is at a great time for me (6pm AEST) for Tuesday and 12pm AEST for the Wednesday session. Probably just go on to see whats going on, stay if interested, leave if its boring.

What I would ask is how they thought changing the dialogue from

Was a good translation move?!
It doesn't make a lick of sense to me none! What it was before would have been perfect for because it's spelled out and I can understand it. The Shakespearian form sounds nothing like the first form. I mean I don't even understand what it's saying in the second part. What's this more removed ground? Private Area?
It does make sense, if you know what's going on in that scene. I'm not a native english speaker, but I think you're being overly paranoid with the shakespeare speak.

We’re giving players two opportunities to participate, first during the maintenance, and again the next day. Details below:
*Chat #1: Tuesday, January 18 at 11PM Pacific (2AM Eastern)
Why is everybody complaining about the first time? The whole point is to have the chat up during maintenance so that all the addicts who stay up spamming Client Launcher will have something to do.
That's why they have the second date, because they know the first one is at odd hours.
Although I can't help but wonder if a second date is even needed, given extensions are likely to push maintenance into the next day (if this is the actual update).

Well having a second one is a good thing if it's the actual update. If something like g12 bugs shows up they can keep player informed on the progress I guess.

@People wondering how they have time to do this... you guys know that not all of Nexon NA is dedicated to Mabi right? In that vein, you know that not all of the NA Mabi team does all the work right?
@Jkieng; you know that the characters displayed on those pages aren't meant to be the characters of the quoted players right?
@kingofrunes; I have no real issue with their choice. It does seem to make sense in context and I can understand it perfectly fine (perhaps though, a lack of literature on the part of modern society would make it harder for some to understand). Given the overriding theme of the mainstream quest, a more Shakespearean flavour to the text seems like a decent move.

The difficult part is that they took it out of context which really confuses me.
Perhaps It will make sense in the context.
B> Spark Notes Version of Mabinogi Shakespeare Hamlet!

Well, I say context but really I'm just drawing on the lines to get an idea of what's going on. As far as I can tell, dude asked Hamlet to come with him to some place. They see ghost of dead king. Dead king beckons to Hamlet. Dude does not feel comfortable about this.
Oh and "more removed ground" is essentially "somewhere not here". Eg, "removed from here".

Ya someone is going to need to translate this into "Modern English" when it comes out otherwise I'm going to be completely lost and will have to rely purely on visuals on the general idea of the play.
I'm a detailed person and would like the dialogue spelled out clearly as much as possible. It's why I didn't like Shakespeare. It's not in a format I can readily relate/translate to. It's why I Have a general disdain when people speak in a foreign language :/

Ignoring the rest of your post, if you like things spelled out as clearly as possible I'm inclined to say you're more of a simple person than a detailed person...
As it is, a reasonable command of the English language should allow one to get the gist of "Shakespearean" :/

I love all of the complaining.
1. OMG NEXON HATES US THEY DON'T TALK TO US QQ
*nexon tries to communicate more with the players
2. WTF SINCE WHEN DOES NEXON HAVE TIME OMG NOW THEY'RE JUST GONNA MESS UP MORE
It seems to me that you guys are just looking for reasons to complain about Nexon. Nexon is a large multi-million dollar corporation and they have hundreds of people working at the NA office. I think one or two people can sit down and take some time to talk to the players. It's probably, y'know, their job.

Navy wrote on 2011-01-17 00:46
why even have a chat room
there will be too many people talking to have a convo or even answer/ask questions.

Right. But why not get more people to talk to the players instead of having massive mobs of people complaining about the lag. Such as during that Music Sensation event thingy on Alexina.

Text is not in "Modern English". It uses words that have a completely different meaning from what they are trying to say like in the Erinn walker when they say "with what courteous action it waves you to a more removed ground." I mean what the hell does that mean and "Aye, there's the rub" What do you mean there's the rub? Do you have an itch you can't scratch. Do you need the ground removed beneath you?
Shakespearean language drives me nuts >.>
