There should be a skill tab that uses Will as damage bonus

  Each glove gives you a boost and goes over your current glove setting. They can be enchanted with all glove enchants. These gloves have special abilities, they either promote str, speed or agility. Str being power, Speed being how many hits you can get in before the mob knockbacks and agility being how fast you move.

  Defense is a significantly less-useful thing to have than protection. There's no way in hell we should get permanent protection except from equips. It's bad enough that Accessories + Clothing can easily out-protect Heavy Armor, let's not make it completely worthless.
  
  By adding defense with Will you do what Will already does-- resist blows (see: its influence in Deadly probability).
  
  As for all the hand-to-hand nonsense, just have existing gloves and boots gain proficiency and upgrade potential, but with a catch-- all attack animations involving forearms, fists, or legs should then draw from its corresponding equipment slot. This includes bull**** like Human Blunt Weapon Windmill. There was no reason for Bowmill to get removed if the Blunt crap stayed, they both fail for the same reason-- the actual weapon is not involved in the attack. Neither should factor in the damage.
  
  Unless of course they change the animation to properly include the weapon.
