Looking for a detailed roadmap! Just joking. :]
I have Water Cannon Rank 9, and basically everything else at Rank F, but trying to rank. (Prod Mastery is like, C).
I really want to become a Royal ASAP (I need that robe!)
What should I do to get there quickly?
I will commit my all.

Their outfit isn't a robe, first of all. Alchemy Mastery should be at least B, and you'll want to have several journal points stacked in(1.1k+) to get a chance. Water Cannon should be between 5-1, and you might want to rank up some other Alchemy Skills like Flamer, or Barrier Spikes. To train Alchemy Mastery, utilize the easy production of Blizzard Crystals.

Erm. What is it then?
1.1k Journal Points?
I have like. 150. :x
Oof, I'm never going to get RA.

It's an article of clothing, like a dress or a suit...or in this case, an outfit.

Do all the Generations that you're allowed to do.
Level up as much as you can.
Keep rebirthing.
Finish those Mission/Dungeon reqs (when the glitch gets fixed, that is).
It'll come to ya one day.

Oh, if you mean it that way; oof. I knew that, I really did. It's late. :\
Since it has 6 DEF and 4 PROT, is it Heavy Armor?

Well, I've been trying to get my human into RA with a few r1 skills, and I'm failing. But yeah, I think alchemy mastery and alchemy attack skills are what helps the most when becoming a RA. Also be sure to finish your generations, as many as possible, because they add quite a few points to your achievement journal.
EDIT: It's just really strong clothes. :>

First off, requisite is Rank B Alchemy Mastery.

Also, choose the Alchemist Destiny ASAP to train that Alchemy Mastery!

I didn't get Royal Alchemist until lv. 850~, but that was on the Tarlach server, Alexina is so much more populated then that.
rB Alchemy mastery won't cut it.
Heres my tip list:
-Only humans can be Royal alchemists, Elves and giants are possible but Journal points are calculated into the selection, and humans have a large advantage in journal points. G1~G3 gives about 3%, and you can get to Champ as a human then switch to Infra black for a bonus .5%
-Rank Alchemy mastery to r2, to do this gather snowballs on an alt in Sidhe, then put them on a pet and transfer them to your alchemist in Tail. Alchemy mastery r7-r2 is fairly simple to do, and if you want to go for r1, you need a high rank IS caster.
-Make sure to get either flame burst or water canon to r1 first, it becomes very helpful for training alchemy mastery
-Get Golem to r5+, it adds no CP and is a very useful skill, and almost required to do Royal alchemist's work.
-Only put ap into alchemy, since alchemy is skill rank based.
-JOURNAL POINTS: Do every journal you can do and get as many points as you can, make an alt and marry it, start a family what ever. I had 16.4% journal when I was accepted, I now have 17.3%.

Ah.
Period.
I'm done.
/Quits and dies.
I'll just be a casual.
:\
Edit: Let's just pretend this is Occamy.
Because dumb Raj kept her account open.

The post by Raj was me.
But really? Is it that competitive?
I love Alchemy, but. :\ I don't want to have to quit my elf.
Or Alexina, I've gotten too far.
I'll get it someday, but I guess I'm not as committed to it. I'm committed to Alchemy, but not Royal. :\

Negative. Giants and Elves can be RAs. o_o
You mean to say, that in the long run, only Humans can get more points than Giant or Elves, but that doesn't disqualify them.
-
Oizen wrote on 2011-01-18 12:33
Well there aren't many Elf alchemists to begin with, but it is possible to get Royal as one, humans just easier, most of the RAs on Tarlach are human and a few are elf/giant. On Alexina its probably even more so towards humans.

1: Get Atleast 1000+ Journal Points.
2: Rank Alchemy from now on. Start with Watercannon to 1. and Alchemy Mastery towards Rank 2, then rank another alchemy skill. Like for earth, i did Barrier Spikes for structure requirements. Just keep raising alchemy. Dont be in a rush. Eventually you will only want RA for its stance and success rates after a while, depending if you go to Cressdia in G13.
3: Ranking Watercannon to 1 with RA uniform and title, make watercannon really strong, until you start using Flame Burst, Lifedrain and Heatbuster. Which shouldnt be for a long long while.
