depends. I had a similar outlook on highschool because honestly it's a joke, work-wise.
University is just another world. if you want to do well, and get B's even, you need to work overtime, at least study as much as the length of your lecture every day.
there's no such thing as breezing past University. (its called college in USA? theres a large distinction between college and uni in canada.)
America is really retarded(compared to the rest of the world). We call better schools universities too, but in general we just refer to it all as college. All I know about colleges in Canada is that they're like community colleges for USA.

Most people in place america call it college
Rarely ever see university used unless its in the places name or its some high college kinda thing
Time management is the one thing should get out of highschool if anything

If you can manage your time no matter what, you are golden. That is something I learned in the last few years.
Playing games isn't bad as long as you're not avoiding homework to play.
Homework first, game later.Otherwise homework will have a way of taking longer than you thought it would.

absolutely. freshman year I never did my hw, then I figured out I can get through it in an hour tops [sophomore year is a joke], then play games.
As for the college/university thing:
In general, in the US, we call it a university if it's a college that has multiple schools [i.e. Harvard Law, Harvard Med].
otherwise, it's called a college.

College=Specific (I go to an art College)
University=Universal.
My teacher once said that a University was like a bunch of colleges put together.

yeah, that's pretty much it, except for they're just separate branches off the main university.
like I said earlier, harvard school of law, harvard med school, harvard business school, are all separate but a part of harvard university.

If you guys need help with Economics give me a shout, I could help with Spanish and Math (not Geometry or Trigonometry) as well .
On topic: I just prefer to study alone (or not study at all xD). I like to go to classes so I listen and pay a lot of attention when a teacher is explaining something. I don't understand stuff when I'm not on time and the class has already begun but studying with friends for a bit usually helps xD
Edit: lmao I found

I wish I didn't pick chemistry this year...
Well, as long as I have physics and math, I'm set.
Might flunk chem, though I am trying hard!

oh I see. Up here colleges are for hands-on work specifically, while universities tend to be less liberal minded and more academic, but with art courses still available. I took some studio courses for fun, but they're often so small that they get full well before I can enroll to them, which makes me sad. Art and graphic design is the only course I can breeze past since I already know what they're teaching me and I could use the GPA boost.
What I hear from my friends is that college seems like highschool all over again. It's still the school of choice if you want to go into stuff like technological studies or nursing.
and gentrone is being nice, so I'll just offer help for stuff like editing essays and english work.
Linguistics too!

This is my last year high school, but in your school system, I would be a junior!
Last year was kind of a mixed of physics/chemistry in advance science.
I don't think I learned about the Quantum mechanic model yet. We started with gazes and now we're at heat or something. Chemistry is so hard, I don't even know how to make basic equations properly. Wonder how I managed to pass last year... Probably because of the physics part. Kinda wish I can restart so I can re-learn everything I missed.
Oh and if anyone needs help with french, gimme a holla.

I actually have no idea how to study or put effort into my schoolwork ._.
I'm used to everything the teacher says or I read sticking in my head until the midterms. Then it flies out the window until the finals.
So now that I have a crappy teacher for socials (don't you disagree, the marks are ridiculous. All his students agree), I have no freaking idea how I'm going to deal with midterms. I have absolute confidence that I'll get at least an A, but it won't help my marks any to get less than 95 ._.
So yeah. Even with me getting straight A's, I'm still being distracted by the internet, or TV, or drawing, and even in my own mind, it's not good enough, and there's nothing I can do about that, since the teachers refuse to help me. "Oh you're getting a 95% average, you don't need help."
Uh yes. Yes I do, if I want to get into Ivy League?

Aren't we a nice community? ;~;
Edit:

hahahaha...!!!
I'm sure you meant gases.
:p
And Kazuni, don't blame the teacher. I had a crappy teacher last year, almost everybody in my class failed but I managed to do well because I think it is the student, not the teacher, who must try the hardest. Although I know where you're coming from, I just like listen and I hardly take any notes... I hate to study so a bad teacher (one who doesn't explain all the stuff you need to know and just
expects you to read 1k pages in a week, and then one of the questions in the final exam is about some stupid quote in that book ._.) doesn't help. However, I did manage to survive hehe.

Chemistry's one of my best classes :D
I have a pretty lousy math teacher this year though, which sucks.
I dunno why it works for me, but I play until 8:00 and I somehow manage to finish all my homework by 10:30.
Though I should really try to do my homework first before next year comes around.

Nope, the whole class gazed at each others eyes.
I shall one day be hunted by grammar nazi's (Not saying you are one)!
