Ive seen many people throwing palalas rather randomly at BL, wich doesnt work because it sometimes get blinded far away from the group after blinking (yeah, i call it Blink ).. Whats the point of blinding him if by the time we get to him the stun is aready over..
However, timing palalas to explode right when he dissapears (youll notice hes still there, for about 2 seconds before he respawns somewhere else) will force him to reappear right on the spot.
This will allow the party to "corner" him for a while, at least while the palalas last. Of course you would be relying on fionas or lanns atacks to get the break off, but i think the time reduction would be more beneficial to everyone.
Now, this of course needs an organized party. Just my thoughts.
Palala Method:
One party member uses his 3 palalas timing them, if hes good he can throw, land a LLLLR Combo or below, and throw again. You need to get the timing on the BL vanishing skill.
The other 5 members spam atacks like crazy, once the "Flasher" runs out, he gets in to spam atack and the next party member takes over the flashing.
I recommend using the party list order to decide the flashers, also you can press F1 to let the enxt member know you got 1 Palala left.
EDIT: Regarding the option of using fine spears, i defend the use of palalas because theres a LARGE room for error with them, you can just aim to the floor and click and it will blind the BL on a very large radius. Fine spears will (even with auto aim) have a lower margin because of the BL moving even when atacked.
TIPS: (After the palalas run out)
1. If youre an Evie dont be afraid and blink to the BL feets as soon as he flies and throws the fireballs, you can land a BT while hes in the air, and another one when he lands. (Works for Fionna and Lann, im not familiar with them though)
2. Throw the spear as he spawns, thats 1 free hit towards break off. You can get the break off with skills too.
3. Good time to throw spear is just after the BL spins in the air and lands. Clear hit to the eye. (He will land facing where he faced when he started, move to that spot and wait with the spear loaded)
4. Havent tried with an organized party but you can "tease" the BL with feather cancel, repair kit cancel, etc. Just a way to avoid guessing where he will spawn.
5. If youre an evie and BL does the "alcoholic breath" atack, start your BT combo from behind and land it. Youll get the feel of the BL hit box as you try it. (Works for everyone really..)
This would be a nice oportunity for everyone in front of the atack to land a spear on its nose.
6. Evies: take advantage of the LLR reach. (Death Label has pretty good reach too, use it LLLR)
EDIT2: I would like to make the tips section class related, meaning there could be a Lann tips, Fiona and Evie too. Now, since i dont play neither a Lann or Fionna (a.k.a Milf), i count on everyone to post those here. Thank you :3

HI DEATHLABEL :)
and yeah its overalll a good guide
if yu guys cant time the palas correctly, yu can always use it when he does the airborne firebolt spam thing. just throw one beneath him and spam attack. the palas effect lasts for 5-6 seconds.
after the effect ends make sure to throw another one assap and take turns. doing it with a guild rather than a bunch or ignorant kids , each run would be about 5-6 min

Im very happy that my first guide isnt a failure xD Ill add stuff as i figure it out, or people post it in here.
Hi Legend! XD its so hard to find a solid party... Y_Y
Thank you all for your positive feedback.

What about Fine Spears? I've noticed they 'freeze' other bosses...does that work here? The Palala thing works great if you have a competent group...sadly it seems 90% of them are not and simply wait for that football to spawn or you fail (my guild is dead so therefore I am stuck with randoms for now).
I'm still trying to figure out how best to get close to him as a Fiona, it would seem he has all smashes except one attack. You can counter his double swipe, however it is really hard to tell when he is going to do that and when he is either going to teleport or glide at you. The random attention span of the boss does not make for easy 'tanking' either.
Heavy Stander Counter would be nice here...

Spear/Fine Spear have high knockdown, like any other attack. The Palala sends the boss into a state of deafness, which includes a quick attack.
If you can spam Fine Spears/Spears fast enough, you can perma down the boss, if you trap him well.

fine spear has a kd rate but it isnt 100% pala will 100% immobilize the boss, giving yu 5-6 seconds free attk.
if yu have an evie using rank a ir, yu can prob land a LLLLR combo + two more LL attacks

I find that one of the better times to spear his face is when he's breathing fire. That attack usually hits a lot of people, so you're likely to save a live or two if you get his face at that time.

You can also counter his turn around swipe, as well as his blink (which is an actual attack if he lands right on you). The best thing to do, provided you're a hammer Fiona, is to run up to him when he hangs himself and is about to do his ring of fire spell. The moment you notice he's about to do that, start a full combo (up to Stigma) and position yourself so that when you're charging Stigma you're directly under him. Just be careful of when he's flying up, since if you touch him then he'll hit you. His ring of fire gives you a free level 2-3 Stigma attack.
Although something that I've been wondering: has anyone else noticed that his Gliding Fury swipe isn't 100% a smash attack? I use a regular shield against him, and sometimes I've HS'd his Gliding Fury but it didn't knock me back. Although I might have just been seeing his attack wrong and it could've been something else.

You're right about his 'Gliding Fury' thing, there's a smash and a normal version of it. The problem is trying to discern which is which; the double Fury combo is definitely 2 smashes, but for the single hit, there's about a 70/30 chance of smash/normal. There's probably some condition that determines which is which (eg: Blink -> normal att Fury as opposed to standing -> smash fury) but I'm not sure what it is.

Some (Sword) Lann tips, I guess:
Double Crescent and LLLR, like always, are your friends. I'll just list out his moves and what's good to do during them.
1) His 1-2 combo. It's tell is his right claw (you left if he is facing you) will raise above his head and the claws will fan out; shortly after, he'll use his 1-2 combo. These are normal attacks (for the Fionas) and you can easily double slip dash through them, even with heavy lag. Afterwards, you can follow up with a DC; if you crit, you can use a gliding fury to glide past and behind him, but its good to delay it slightly. The reason for this is that after his 1-2 combo, he might follow up with a gliding fury of his own, and if you're a little too fast, he'll track your new position and you will not have enough time to slip dash again. If he uses the 1-2 combo on someone else, you can also use LLLR to conserve stamina and smack him in the back easily.
2) His gliding fury. There's a single glide and a double glide version, as well as a glide/fire smash combo. If your timing is good, you can actually dash into him as he glides into you and not take any damage. I'd only recommend doing it solo though as lag can really mess you up, and his attack frames persist just a little longer than you'd expect. It's also safer to dash left than it is to dash right, as he sweeps from his left to right, though just dashing out of the way is best as usual. You know he's doing one of the 2 hit gliding combos because after the first dash, his body stays hunched and rotates in place, rather than him straightening up. When he finishes up with his combo, you can DC him. If he's targeting someone else, you can LLLR him pretty easily too. Not only that, on his fire smash, you can also LLLR instead of DC if you'd like to conserve mana as he locks in his positioning a lot earlier than his normal glides, meaning you can dodge and start winding up earlier.
3) His blink into an upside-down overhead slash. This one is pretty easy to avoid no matter what you are, just walk in a straight line and it'll never hit you unless you're like overweight with a speed penalty or something. To be aggressive, you can just stand there, and when he appears to do this attack just hit spacebar to slip dash backwards while dodging through his attack. Since he always appears behind you, this will give you the distance to get behind him and give you a safe time frame to DC. If you DC from his front, he does have some attacks that can come out fast enough to hit you before you can slip dash again, though it's pretty rare. Using DC on his back forces him to take a little bit more time to hit you.
4) His 5 hit standing combo, where he goes all wolverine berserker barrage. Its tell is his head lowers for about a second, like his floating move, and then he starts doing this. You can wind up an LLLR somewhere around the 3-4th slash and hit him safely. You can also start winding up earlier if he was targeting someone else and you were behind him as his last slash is a vertical one to his frontal area. Be extra careful though because he can link this directly into a gliding fury combo, or pretty much any attack without any delay. Be ready to dodge immediately.
5) His stupid little palala type thing where he makes the screen flash and he (usually) blinks. You can slip in a DC here, and if you crit you should always use gliding fury afterwards, because there is a chance that he actually stays in place and doesn't blink.
6) His charmander char char flamethrower. First off, don't be an idiot and rush into him and instagib yourself, I can't believe how many people still do this. You can't get too close to him or you take a crapton of damage. You can still attack him while he is using it, though. LLLR's smash has enough reach to hit him safely, just spin it around him. You can also hit his outstretched claws, but be careful he doesn't turn and hit you. You can either play it safe and hit him when the flamethrower is over or start right away as soon as he starts the attack. If you choose the latter you can get in 2 LLLRs instead of just 1.
7) His little floating attack. If you get into the center below him, you can use LLLLR's rank nine additional attack to hit him, or a well placed DC. I'm told that Gutbuster (neutral smash) works too. If you crit, you can hit him with gliding fury, but it's very inconsistent and it is possible that you'll put yourself in danger by doing so, so I wouldn't recommend it. And like everyone else, hit him as he floats down, too.
I haven't run him with my spears yet as I enjoy slip dash a lot, lol. Couple things I've noticed, though. Sudden Blast and Moonsplitter are really good in this fight. Sudden Blast because it's fast, does nice damage, and can be quickly rolled out of, and Moonsplitter because it wrecks him while he floats. You can spin around his flamethrower and around his 5 hit combo, but be ready to roll out after hit 5 hit combo is done.
If you're a Fiona, please, don't just freakin HS all fight. A LOT of people do this. While I'm glad you're at least not getting wrecked, you're also not contributing anything, which is actually terrible for me as the boss lags horrendously as long as there are 4 people total still alive in the party :D As I said earlier, his 1-2 combo is 2 normal attacks, so you can counter afterwards. If you have a hammer with +speed (not sure how normal speed hammers fare), you can also safely perfect guard/butterfly combo to the right. His turnaround attack is also a normal attack. Amaranth reaches far enough to safely hit him while he is using his flamethrower. Hammers should begin comboing immediately when he starts floating close by so that they can hit him with a full level 3 charge as he comes down.
Supposedly, he is quite easy to solo as a staffie. You can double firebolt while he floats, that's all I really know lol.
I'm reall not a fan of palala bombs >_> I wish they had diminishing returns.

Some scythe evie tips, though I'm not great at it:
You can LLR a lot during the battle, it's pretty much fool proof.
When he does the attack that ends with him having his hands on fire, you can do LLLR+E. Just slash the air when he starts doing the combo and land it.
If you're using attack in direction of camera mode, then comboing underneath him during the fireball attack isn't super safe(you'll can go out of bounds pretty easily). Instead I wait until he spins about 3 times and start LLLLR+E. By the time you reach him, he'll still be floating but no more fireballs are around.
SO MUCH AIR SLASHING :T_T: Throw palalas when you're close to him and start doing LLLLR+E, doing this means you can do two full combos(this one not including air slashing D:). Of course you have to be confident for this to work.
His palala atack: If you can see through the flash you can see that it takes him a bit before he blinks, so you can do LLR and then another LLR real quick, I guess maybe even an LLLR.
Stay zoomed out and you can see him when he blinks right behind you and slashes you, so you can in turn blink out of the way.
You can do start a Bloody Thread when he's doing his standing and slashing thing, and then just be a bit careful and land it
Fire Mines are delicious.
It's dashingly easy on normal, a bit complicated on hard.

I really don't understand why people aren't bringing palalas at this point over spears. Hair is so cheap now that it simply is not worth it to go for the breakoff...and it is much better to finish the run faster. I'm finding out you can literally spam them and have no need for accuracy, as it hits him from anywhere.
