Is it still possible to get in Mabinobi NA with proxies, and if so, what's the best way to do so (as in the best proxy, method, etc.).
I want to go back to NA since EU hasn't got an update for 7 MONTHS.

Does anyone know the rarity of the book, "Eternal Rest?"
It's the rB->rA Rest book that drops from Karu Dungeon. I know that bringing a party of 8 will increase my chances but I'm probably going to end up soloing the dungeon and I want to get a good idea of how many runs I'll need. D:
Thanks guys!

Well me and my friend have helped out quite a few parties (and hosted a few) to sketch that horse keeper. My friend was able to get the book after about...7-10 runs but he may just have been lucky.
Also I have a question of my own. If my cylinder is upgraded to reduce stamina usage, will this only effect alchemy or will it effect other skills? I'm wondering if this would allow me to do self healing. Basically, does -3x% stamina also apply to the self healing penalty or just alchemy?

If you do Healing with the cylinder actively equipped, it should give -STAMINA. If it's sheathed, then no, I don't believe.
Question time!
This is probably better geared towards mage-type characters, but i've been drafting enchant setups for my potential low-HP Giant Mage, and I could use a check-through/advice to make sure it doesn't suck.
Yes, there's a servere lack of +INT/MP. I know. I just tried to go with what would work.
[SPOILER="Spoiler"]Shield
Prefix: CAREFUL; -30HP, -30STAMINA
Paired with Suffixes: Crab, Crayfish, or Lobster, -DEF
(ALTERNATE/BETTER SUFFIX: Colonel, +12~8MP NAT SHIELD C+, -6 STAM, +8~6INT, -10WILL
+2% PROT IF NAT SHIELD C+)
WEAPON
SUFFIX: Wizard, -20HP, +40MP, +20INT LB R6+
POSSIBLE PREFIX: Stiff, -10DEX LB RA+, +10% INJURY SMASH R9+, +10% CRIT
(OR Fang, +10STR, +8% CRIT)
(OR ARC LICH: -5 MAX IF LVL 44+, +5 MIN IF LVL 22+, +5 BAL/CRIT, -250CP)
(OR FEARLESS: -5 HP/MP/STAM, +4% CRIT IF CRIT R6+)
Best combination: Stiff Wizard's Weapon.
ALL PREFIX: PAIN, +12STR, +3% CRIT, -3 DEF
Clothing:
DEADMAN'S: Suffix, All, rC -20~16HP
Possible Prefix: Unstable: -2STR, -5% BALANCE, +4% CRIT
So far -66~-70HP, not much left to go, one more Deadman's.
Hat could possibly be Stiff Deadman's, for -81~-90HP, no more -HP needed.
OR Pain Deadman's, for -DEF and more +%CRIT
Shoes:
SUFFIX: Mana, +20MP IB 8+, -15STR MEDI A+, +10 INT MEDI A+
PREFIX: Glowing, +4MAX IF ISHIELD A+, +4 CRIT IF FSHIELD B+

Thank you. ~

So I'm trying to do bank PTJs for Fallias frags. Would it be easier to do it on a crowded channel or an emptier channel? Or is it literally just a grab bag?
-
Sekwaf wrote on 2011-08-10 01:58
My advice would be to do the job on a less crowded channel. The busy channels tend to have people AFK as they leave their party up to advertise buying or selling.

If I delete my free elf, do I get another elf card? I completely forgot.
Alsooooo, I've been looking into tailoring recently, just as a fun life skill. Should I do refining first to get the fails out of the way?

One free elf/giant per account(if you started as a human, otherwise you get nothing)

No idea on the dye, you2.
Question- Been trying to get Master of Critical Hit, by afk'ing with a mimic attacking me. In theory, I regenerate wounds quickly enough to do this for hours. (all night. :D)
However, my problem is that Mimics aren't staying aggro'd- sometimes they'll only keep their aggro for a couple of minutes. (sometimes even less).
I'm using taunt to grab their aggro, or sometimes the good old pet mount touch thing. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong here?

I'm currently at R3 windmill. It's my highest ranked skill, followed by R9 crit. What should I go for next, both combat and lifeskill wise? I was thinking of starting on refining, but no idea with combat. Is sword mastery worth upgrading? After ranking WM, do I need to keep my CP low for any other skills?

It seems like you plan to focus on melee combat, at least initially.
Rank critical hit whenever possible. Windmill is your top priority as you'll need -CP gear (which can be pretty expensive) with higher combat power. That being said, it's perfectly fine to start investing in skills like Smash and damage buffing skills like Combat Mastery and Sword Mastery. Refine is a huge priority if you intend to pursue ranged at some point. Otherwise, it's not a huge concern as most of your dexterity comes from life skills and ranged skills. Production Mastery provides a massive stamina boost making it a worthwhile skill to rank as your character grows but beware as it will increase the difficulty of several refine ranks.
I'm no warrior but Windmill and Smash are your most useful skills. Assault Slash can be useful though it's sort of a low priority. Carpentry gives a lot of strength so it's obviously important. Final Hit is also situationally useful, though it's not even close to being a priority.
Gladius are typically the best beginner melee weapons. Broadswords replace Gladius as your balance increases. Battle Swords and certain spirit weapons are the best overall melee weapons. Two-handed weapons are almost completely outclassed by dual weapons at higher levels. I recommend against primarily using a one-handed + shield combo as mages make far more effective tanks than warriors.

WM is already at 3, and with my current CP at level 31, the soldier zombies in int Their Mission are still bosses, so I hopefully (fingers crossed!) shouldn't have any CP issues while I rank WM. That's why I held off on ranking everything else; on my first character, a couple of years ago, I ranked CM and smash and kinda wrecked it.
I don't know if I'll ever do much ranged, but I thought it was good to raise dex for more balanced damage, even in melee?
Assault Slash and Carpentry weren't around when I used to play, so I need to learn what they are!
I'm using two fully upgraded Fox Hunter's gladiuses (gladii?). I was thinking of egoing a mace... bad choice? Nowhere near doing that yet anyway, haha.

1. It's actually not that bad ranking Windmill these days. Good -CP gear is probably expensive as hell but we have the nerfed version of Windmill, the warrior destiny and Their Method to make it all easier on you (I'm also at r3 Windmill, though i'm a level 2.5k ranger).
2. Sword Mastery gives 15% balance (while wielding swords) at r1, as well as 19 dexterity. You'll obtain 79 dexterity worth of balance from that ranking that skill. You can obtain the rest of your dexterity for balance by ranking a couple of ranged skills. It'll cost you a little bit more AP but you'll get some useful skills out of it (refine is pretty useless).
3. Assault Slash lets you follow up your stronger attacks and improves your ability to combo the enemy. It deals pretty lackluster damage but remains useful nonetheless. Carpentry is a life skill which gives a lot of strength but from what i've heard it's more difficult than refine (compare to weaving).
4. I wouldn't ego a mace if I were you. It gets 171 max and 9 critical at All/50. The spirit Bastard Sword has 189 max and 22 critical at All/50 and it can be dual wielding if needed. The Gladius ego trades max for minimum and critical. The Muramasa is a very good mix of max and critical though you'll have to NX repair it. The Military Official One-handed Sword is similar to the Muramasa but also gives defense. Unfortunately, you'll have to NX repair it if you can even obtain one.
You can obtain 379 max damage (while using single-hit melee skills) and 36 critical by wielding the Sword of Elsinore and the Bastard Sword ego. You can obtain even greater average damage by wielding a Bastard Sword ego and an R-6 Battle Sword (plus the Sword of Elsinore is incredibly difficult to obtain and weather effs it up).
