I currently have r7 Windmill and r9 Critical.
Should I rank them as soon as the "rank up" button comes up on them or should i train a single one to r1 first?

Train Windmill first.
Unless you have a ton of AP, you'll only have enough for one of the skills.

Ranking WM is 'important.'
But - I think Fast Results, so I ranked Crit to Rank 9 first. :awesome:

WINDMILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
Rank 9 crit will really help with your damage output for windmill.
Get yourself a stiff-fierce mace and laugh as most monsters fall before you.

Try and rank them both because when you train at zombies you will be probally hitting alot of crits.

If you want to do it my way then rank windmill whenever you have the training and ap (same goes for critical).
*Critical is basically for all skills so its important
**Don't waste critical hits (always rank whenever you have the chance)
***Windmill isn't really a concern unless you have a high cp (or atleast 700+ cp since zombies have 2k cp) (best keep your cp 700- if you want to train at zombies for boss kills otherwise its up to you how to rank and when to rank windmill)

I would rank them both together. This will slow you some but it takes time to do Wm to r1 anyways.
Ranking tip for WM: Start collecting -cp gear now (abysmal shield, jackal, Arch Lich, Boots, Gloves with -100) Then instead of grinding Zombies which you may not 1 hit go to ant Hell and find the weak bat and wormy room. They instantly respawn at high rates and you can 1 hit them all the time. I went from r4-1 in 3 days using this method. Cp gear is the best investment you can make in this game.

CP gear right off the bat, make your CP like uber low.
Windmill some goblins that show as "boss". Epic.

Brown Foxes in Tir would be easier.
Although, personally, I'd recommend ranking Critical when you can. Although if you don't have enough points, Windmill takes priority.

Too many bots killing brown foxes makes getting 4 of them lined up hard.

At the same time, if you have the AP - if not, then Windmill is the priority.
Critical is very easy to rank with windmill.

you should rank wm more and crit sometimes in your case. when you get rank 2 wm you should probably power rank your crit, since wm 1 takes very long to get.

Rank both. Remember to do Exploration for the easy AP you can get from it, and rank Critical when you have the chance since it benefits your WM greatly. If you have -CP armor and you have not ranked any other skill that gives tons of CP, you can try to do Intermediate Shadow Missions for Boss Kills from most of the monsters there. Then take off the CP armor for Strong and Awful Kills. It's not as fast as grinding but you level quicker.

Once WM gets to R5, do them both at the same time.
That's what I did, and I'm currently R2 WM and R4 Crit.
