I wonder if anyone here knows how to calculate windblast damage. >.> i know that it isn't meant for doing damage but I'm curious, seeing as i have r6 wind blast and r5 wind alchemy mastery. I plan on eventually echanting all my equipment with the breeze enchant. :3 and all my equipment is already lightning enchanted.

why bother seems useless to enchant for wind dmg... O_O
Reasons:
1. You can't spam it
2. Low dmg for the time
3. waste of alchemy potential and enchant/damage spaces

There's a difference between a unique build and a trash build. This is one of those trash builds.
OT: I believe wiki has the damage formula.

Enchanting with wind is useless, The damage is minimal, even with Wind Blast.
Its much smarter to use Watercannon and shove water enchants on it. Water Cannon is endless; Wind blast can only be used 3 times in succession, if anything
windblast is meant to keep people away when spamming, or; if your a flame alchemist Flame Burst max charge>Windblast>(Charge)Heatbuster

the wiki only has a knockback formula. as for everyone else, i know i could rank up other skills to be alot more stronger, but im ranking wind purely for the fact that I've yet to see anyone call themself a wind alchemist xDDDD. and plus i love how useful it may be in pvp :DDDD

1. I believe you can substitute any other alchemy attack's formula.
2. You should enchant for other skills.
3. I'm pretty sure tropacat's been pretty into wind blast recently. He even wrote the "Windblast Handbook." (Even though it was terrible)
4. To be honest, I can't really see a benefit of knocking back further with wind blast. Since they're farther away, they have more time to load defense, counter, a bolt, etc.

I really don't see what the problem with Windblast is. Its a fairly useful skill.

Really the skill is meant so that you can get enemies off of you so you can load up a skill to use. The farther back they are the more time you have to do that. If you ask me its more of a PVE skill than anything else, but it still has its uses. I personally find that Alchemy skills take too long to load to be used all that effectively in Combat. Do so much as miss a beat and you've got an enemy in your face. Windblast helps to alleviate that, if even for a moment.
Really I think most people are biased against this skill because it doesn't do any real damage. They get so caught up in the low damage that they fail to realize its actually a very useful skill.
