Nearly every Lann above level 24 uses Dual Spears.
I know they do more damage, but as far as I'm concerned, their signature move hasn't been released yet?
*That endless spinning thing*

Level 24s are always curious about their new weapons. Don't worry, by 40 it'll wear off for most of them. :P

3960 Hurricane is definitely released O_o The reason you don't see many use it is because it's not as ridiculous as you think it is, and it'll often get you killed. (And there's also the ridiculous Epilepsy-inducing shininess that occurs when you use it)

Really? My Lann is only 36, but there hasn't been a single boss so far that I couldn't solo by simply chugging a Stamina potion and spinning around it.

Bosses don't really get hard until way later than that. I'd say pre 43-ish you can definitely just spin to win, but after that, spinning is not a good idea. At least not for long periods of time. (this is also talking solo btw. there are some cases where you can just keep spinning in a party, like if there are 7 or 8 twin spears in a Laghodessa Run >_>; Those spiders have stupidly low knockback resistance)

Good thing I'm sticking to swords.
Cannot live without Slip Dash.

Before getting slip dash to rA, Spears is much better. Slip dash before rA is not reliable, and if you can escape with dash, so can you with just sprint or move. Spears has a longer range dodge (good for escaping Boss Smash), and also better damage potential.
Then slip dash slowly gets reliable up to r6. Although there are still attacks that you can't fully endure, it is much reliable and can be used to position a Double Crescent.

endless spinning? you mean pally/dark knight with unlimited stamina? or raising high? (whatever that sp skill was)
but yea, spin2win lanns are the ones that fall dead on the ground first lategame. use LR->gliding fury instead, its more dps.

I believe it was Slashing High, and nearly every video of a Dark Knight Lann shows them spinning forever on bosses.
I'm not kidding, I don't even get HOW they die.

yeah thanks slashing high. I'm getting a little rusty.
and thats usually because they're overlevelled, and constantly spinning is necessary for kbing a boss over and over.
though they don't have unlimited HP!

Boss smacks them too much.
The damage isn't so godly and overpowered, but Hurricane 3960 can be used to get crits for Gliding Fury easily. Then, so can 1+smash and 3+smash.

^This. They may have adv heavy stander in Hurricane, but they still take the full damage no matter what. That skill get's them killed more often than anything else honestly.

I laughed so hard at the above post.
So is it better to use swords for soloing? I just started my Lann and I keep hearing about this sword VS spears debate. I've gotta say that slip dash is awesome though.

at this point of the game spears will always be 'more effective' in terms of killing a boss quickly but it requires a lot of skill, since a mistake usually means game over.
swords are definitely a lot safer! if you like swords more then stick with them since not everyone is anal about speed runs.

Whenever I listen to Lann speak, all I hear is "getting criticals for Gliding Fury"
Is it really that good? Seems kind of slowish (But I have no clue how much damage it does)
