How come we can have conversations about masturbation but cannot post pictures with a simple penis in them? Please, explain.

There is a difference between talking about it and actually showing it. For example, look at movie ratings. Sexual talk can occur with PG-13 while nudity is for higher ratings. The staff is supposed to allow more mature talk but I personally don't think male or female anatomy will really help the conversation that much.

So then this whole forum is going based upon what the government deems plain nudity and artistic nudity?

To what end?
You want even MORE people coming here for Rua Hentai?
This time, they'll actually find it!

But the Japanese put clear bars on where they don't want the tip of the penis or the clitora shown.
So there's no prob there.

This isn't a porn site, and discussion is discussion.

How about you post all the nudity you want, as long as the censor bar covers the entire image?
No prob there.

The movie rating scale has always been a helpful guideline to the staff for deciding how to take action but it isn't what we use to set something in stone. It's just that before Fal said we were too uptight, so then we permitted more mature talk. However, we don't want to become too loose and have everything go to inappropriate hell. If mature sexual conversations prove to work well over a long period of time, there is always a chance that we can allow more mature things to be posted but I think it's fair that we don't want to give everyone too much freedom and have everything become out of control. That being because that could end with lots of confusion, over 9000 bans and then a poopload of new staff members.

And yet they're discussing about how many times/when they start/etc etc is allowed? And that thread has well over a couple hundred views, so please tell me again, why?

Like Cide says, where the hell did people start to think artistic nudity is porn?

Why is posting nudity porn? o_O
Seriously. It's the
body ffs. What is the difference between discussing it and viewing it visually? You get a mental image of it anyways.
Posting two people having sex? Yes. That is porn and should not be allowed. Otherwise, you're just showing a part of the body. People are wayy too uptight.
Yes, this is a kids form as-well.. but if we allow discussions of the body, we should allow pictures of the body as-well.
Otherwise, you're being a hypocrite.

I agree. I know porn is bad for people under the age of 18, but how come we can discuss where babies come from to a 13 year old?

somehow, i think if the image in question that sparked this thread was female instead of male, no one would have batted an eyelash.
HMM.

Well, it's up to the mods and not me, so why take my post so seriously, eh? :p
And I have nothing against artistic nudity, but really, there should be a limit to who can view it just for the sake of age. It's not like most 12 year olds have been exposed to artistic nudity.

And yet if they watch any of the videos about Italy or France in history, they'd have seen it.
