I'm currently trying to catch Thundurus, the legendary Pokemon that creates thunderstorms or something.
It's hard, I nearly caught it with a Dusk Ball.
Should I use my master ball, or should I save it for Zekrom?
Zekrom is easy to catch, I managed to catch it in only 4 Pokeballs, and Thundurus is the only roaming Pokemon in this generation. Then again, you can also save your Master Ball for Kyurem, since it's level 75 and unless your Pokemon are over level, has a better chance at wiping out your Pokemon than the other Legendaries.
You can also breed a Sandile to know Mean Look, which will prevent the Thundurus from harming you with Shockwave, and leveling up your Sandile so that it evolves into Krookodile will let it move first to get the Mean Look placed into effect, as well as being able to take a hit from Revenge. Whenever your Krookodile's HP gets relatively low, heal it, then continue to chuck Poke/Ultra/Dusk Balls at it until you catch it. Also be sure to save whenever you enter the area it's in, so that if it does start using Struggle, you won't lose it forever when it kills itself. Though I'm not sure if this will work, since I know that you can catch a Lati@s the same way, though replacing the Sandile with Sableye, since the roaming Pokemon your trying to catch doesn't know a move that ends wild battles instantly like Entei/Raikou.
Edit: Just beat the main story line, and I was thoroughly pleased. Definitely comes close to being my favorite Pokemon game, though it still falls just short of HeartGold (only because it is an upgraded and improved Gold, which was originally my favorite Pokemon game). Though the only real thing that I didn't really care for was the fact that this generation still doesn't have a bank system of some sort. My favorite method of mass evolving Pokemon is spamming the Elite Four, even if I do get wiped out, by having the Pokemon I'm trying to evolve hold an Exp Share, be my leading Pokemon, then switch it out on the first turn, defeat the enemy's Pokemon, swap it back out, and repeat, until winning against the Champion or getting wiped out, which ever comes first.
The only down side to this is that if I do lose, I lose half of my money, and in the end game, even though I don't need money anymore, I'd still like to have it, just in case, and losing all that money would be devastating, especially after clearing the Undalla Bay dungeon, where if you collect all the items and sell them all, you get like $1.7mil, and by defeating the Elite 4, so I'd much rather lose that money by buying crap than losing half of it at a time. Figured they would have kept the banking feature, or changed it around so that you don't have to go to your mom ever time you want to withdraw money.
