  Yes, I actually looked up both shields before posting that. Their shapes are similar, but not actually the same, among other subtle differences (aside from the really obvious ones).

  Kite shield and round shields are the two types in this game.

  Well, the only thing that is unique about it is the designs. I kind of wish that Targe Shields had better stats like the Avon Shield, as I am interested in the Targe's pattern more than I am in this pattern of the Avon shield. D:

  Idk the shield looks pretty cool to me :) I'd get one but knowing how much they'd cost I'd probably have more luck just waiting till I can make it myself.

  Basically.. shield of avon is more wider and squarey than the kite shield, kinda like Hetero Kite shield.

  Not to be a complete jerk but...the shields look utterly different, you all are just complaining about a damned outline? The Kite Shield and Avon Shield yes have a similar outline, other then that both shields have different trim, edging, designs, and other features. Might I add an old post said that the Beholder Shield and Round Shield are almost similar-just one is more elegantly designed with higher trim settings. A Targe Shield and a Heater look the same too, sadly they both accomplish their job...so can we not hate on the Shield of Avon I mean it is very different except the damned outline. Gosh ಠ_ಠ
