Nexon has revealed the first details, and a new trailer, about the newest update coming to its free-to-play MMO Vindictus later this month. The “Rocheste Royal Cadets†update introduces a number of new features, chief among them the town of Rocheste, and the long-awaited addition of PVP system.
PVP play will allow players to challenge friends from within dungeons, and will be the first of several PVP installments set for release in subsequent updates.
Rocheste Royal Cadets also introduces a new storyline, “Colhen in Flames,†which kicks off with the player becoming a cadet in the Royal Army. Word has it that Colhen has been torched, and it’s up to players to team up with the Royal Army’s valiant hero Keaghan to fend off the ogre attacks and save the town.

Players will also gain access to a new transformation ability that lets you turn into either a Paladin or a Dark Knight, depending on which path—dark or light—you choose. As you’d expect, the Paladin buffs defenses, while the Dark Knight buffs your attack.
Helping to ensure players will be able to put their new found powers to good use, the update will also introduce a new baddie: Black Hammer. This Fomors commander carries a massive hammer and sports black enchanted armor. Oh, and he has minions. So there’s that too.

There will also be new Expertise skills up for grabs: Tailoring, Armorsmithing, Goldsmithing, Platesmithing, Weaponsmithing and Cooking. These new skills can be used to craft new items for use in combat or in trading.
If you plan to attend PAX East this weekend, you’ll be able to play a three-player co-op mission set in one of the new "Rocheste Royal Cadets" dungeons and check out the new transformations as well.
The "Rocheste Royal Cadets" update will be released on March 23.

I think so too. I saw this on facebook and was kind of put off by it.

The thing is
They never announced the raising of the lvl cap
If they raise the cap its kinda early
If not its more adding extra content

I guess Trans will make my life easier, but still, way too early >:l And like hell they're raising the cap.

Ah well, I'm glad there will be a new town at least. I was thinking of going on a hiatus since I'm not really a fan of the new raids and general lack of quests. Interesting, they didn't mention any new armor sets, I rather like the Broken Feather set for Evie.

Crap! Was trying to max AP before the next patch :p They are releasing content mighty fast, that's nice! There is nothing wrong with catching up to Korea as fast as possible and then lagging a little behind. Not like 3 episodes behind :p

My body is not ready.
I just hope they raise the rank caps on skills. They really, really need to do that.
Also, Heavy Stander Counter please.

I don't get how anyone can say this is "too early" for them. Its just more content for this game with limited content. We are slowly catching up with the Korean version. You can still play at your own pace.
What exactly makes it "too early" exactly?
I dunno, personally if we could just catch up with the Korean version ENTIRELY, right now, I'd be really happy.

Way faster than expected, but not too fast. There's still another 12 days ahead - it's not like the update is tomorrow. I had a strange feeling that the only logical update to follow the ones we already had was boat 6, but I just didn't think it would happen this soon, and that they'd come up with some kind of filler patch with NX things/events.
Also, while we might not get to wear in our weapons/armor too much, there's really nothing wrong with having more content ahead. People who have always been at the front probably have their level capped and most if not all of their skills capped, equipment finished, etc. It's only fitting that those people have more content to rush into, while the more casual players go at their own pace without worrying about running out of missions to do.
