  Martyr isn't a GM, nor does he strike me as a person who has the means or motivation to do this. Naturally I'm inclined to think the person was referring to the guild, but since it's just hearsay speculation ends there. At any rate, I haven't seen any nexon staff claim responsibility for this...were any of them sighted at least?
