Temporary Graphics Card Suggestion?

  I am looking for a temporary graphics card that my PC can handle while I get enough money to buy a new PC. Anyone have suggestions? :what:

  Hmm, when the GPU says maximum resolution 2560 x 1600, that means I can't go 1920 x 1080 for desktop? Also, will the components fit into the PC case?

  2560 × 1600 is bigger than 1920 × 1080. Your display will work fine.
  
  The motherboard is micro ATX form factor, which means that graphics card will fit in just great.

  Even my ancient computer had a 500W PSU... Now days I don't do less than an 800W PSU.
  
  Well, I can't really help with that... all the old NVIDIA stuff is all deactivated and not sold anymore. I would have said like an 8800 GT or something, but I guess you can't find them anymore.
  
  When you do go for new stuff though, don't get a GTX 280 - they have a manufacturing problem that happens after forceware 196 which irreversibly causes the card to start dying, artifacting & freezing.
  
  I have an eVGA GTX 560 Ti right now, which is just a little better than the GTX 280, but it has DX11 support, which is what you're gonna want to have in a card when you go looking later. eVGA has pretty good warranties. They do dick you around and point fingers if you tell them your card's going bad though.
  
  As for power supplies when you're looking later, I think the one I was liking was the CORSAIR AX850.

  Honestly I'd go for something like this. It's 80+ efficient certified and on a single 12v rail at 33amps.

  Yeah that should work just fine. 80+ isn't anything special anymore, but then again it's cheap.

  Hmm, would that GPU be good enough to handle, say.... Vindictus at a good 30-40 fps on DirectX +9 on Medium graphic settings?

  Most likely. I can handle 20~60 fps on medium with a 3 year old processor and a sub-par GPU.
