I've watched a crap ton of Anime so I know a lot more, but these came to mind first and a lot of the others were already posted.

Hetalia is newer, and IMO K-On! and K-On!! is A LOT better than the manga, the Manga was the storyboard and since it revolves around a Girls High School band, called Afternoon Tea Time, it was practically built to be an anime, it's also very popular in Japan and a movie is coming out soon for it.
