So I tried to log on to Mabi this morning and found a
"DNS service for this domain has expired with DNS Made Easy
To renew your DNS service now, please login to your account here and click on the Purchase/Upgrade/Renew link."
message. The same occurred for DFO and the main nexon site.
Is the nexon domain actually down, or is something wrong with my computer/internet? I have a vague suspicion of spyware/virus, but I'm not sure if either of those could redirect a browser away from sites like this. All other sites I've visited work fine.
EDIT: If Mabi is working for anyone else, and if you aren't experiencing this problem, would you tell me as well, so I know whether or not it's just on my end?

All of my Nexon games and their websites seem to be working.
DFO, Maple, Vindictus, Mabi, Atlantica

Okay, confirmed - it's just on my end. Further question: do you know of any types of spyware or virus which would modify my registry to force this sort of redirect? And why it would target nexon, of all things?

Nothing that I know of. Is the site still down for you?
The only thing I can think of if it is spyware/viruses is that it targets a site that you access often, assuming you do use these sites very often.

im having this exact same problem. i can't log into DFO, i get the same message. i have no clue what's going on. For a moment i suspected that it may be because i use open dns, but there seems to be no problem with my internet soooo???
edit: also also, im not being redirected through a proxy server according to my browser settings
i think it may mean that dfo didnt pay for their domain? i was researching the issue and saw this website

Disabling OpenDNS fixed everything for me, so you might want to give it a try.

But why only some of us have that problem and not everyone ? And how you disable OpenDNS ? I don't remember having this on my computer.

https://store.opendns.com/setup/
Just poke through their guides for a bit, it's either on your PC or your router.

Did I really need to download that thing or register and using credit card number for that ?

Right, I guess they want you to log in. OpenDNS is free and all, but this is the direct link for the Windows 7 setup guide:

How can you disable OpenDNS when I don't remember having it ? And I don't want to scrap my router because of a DNS thing ... And my Router model isn't in their list at all...

Hmm. Disabling OpenDNS seems like too broad a solution for this particular problem, and might lead to more problems than it resolves for me. I'm going to do a few spyware-blocker runs and see what comes up, but if that doesn't work, then go with that.
Thanks :o

I guess if you don't have OpenDNS, it might just be your ISP's DNS server acting up, in which case I guess you could call them up, or just wait it out. Still, it can't hurt to check.
