Death of my lann.

  There's a certain limit to what reading can teach you. In theory a Sword Fiona should not be able to get 20-30% damage on Thor/Titan, but I've done it before. Theory is just theory in the end. I'm sure someone else said it, but playing each character until about Lv. ~30 (40 would be best) is important to get a grasp on what you like, and it the best way to choose your char.
  
  Personally I just get annoyed when people stray from their original choices due to theory. A game is supposed to be for fun, so why not use a character you like? I just got the idea that you liked Lann from your other posts.

  Realized that, I already made a fair few of my posts beforehand without knowing that though.
  Oh well, you might want to try to stay away from ranking Sword skills at first though, just so you can try Hammers with rF in all weapon specific skills.

  Yanm, rushing in without thinking will get you killed as any character. If you want a real skill test, equip some spears. Slip Dash is still way too good of an evasion move for sword Lanns to be considered as a 'skill' character.

  
  
  Yeah....I forgot that she was going to be a Spear Lann and not a Sword Lann. Trust me, I've used Spears lots of times. I know the difference between Spears and Swords. I have yet to get good with Spears at all really >_>.

  Well, playing around as fiona right now, im having lots more fun than i did with lann, and dying a lot less, and thanks to fionas kick im actually killing things faster than lann did o.o

  id recommend trying the other characters out as well to find the one you think is most fun. ive played all 4, Evie is my number 1 favorite, has been since she first released and karok is just so beast. Boss bash is awsome, who doesnt like punching bosses in the face?

  From what I have observed so far, Karoks can do the same or more damage. o_O

  Hammers have hands down the best damage in the game. Karok is strong, but he can not out DPS a hammer fiona, especially not with slashing high.

  Cause I hear people will kick Spear Lann's out of Titan/Thor. That's when theory ends and reality kicks in. Of course I could just be wrong and/or misheard about people being kicked.
  
  @Alexane: I'm not in anyway a super-pro Lann, but I will say this: I think people exaggerate just a little with Lann being super-hard and having to memorize every little frame and grunt the boss makes. When saying it like that it doesn't sound fun at all. So far, in my experience, the things you need to be successful as a Lann are the same things you have to be successful as other characters(as well as any high end raiding in any MMO): Situational awareness, reaction time, and being able to identify boss mechanics and how to defend against them.
  
  The only thing that I would say that a Lann has to memorize(or at least have a fairly good idea of) is the hit box of the boss, and only because of Gliding/Lightning Fury.
  
  The opinion of a level61 spear Lann~ I have a blast playing as him. :2thumb:
  
  As for DK/Pally on Fiona, I'd lean towards DK. You already have 100% defense with Heavy Stander.
