Now we aren't saying that you have to conform and have the same opinion as everybody. What we are saying is that when you do give out your opinion, be polite when doing so. Discretion is the better part of valor, after all:
DON'T call a person a fag or a retard because they have a different opinion than yours, and bash them for it;
DO say "that's nice, but I think...", or something along those lines. This way, people won't cry "Troll" and derail the topic.
And we also aren't saying that you can't have any debates on things. If you want to have a debate, please try to keep the debate on the topic of the thread, and if the thing that you're debating on isn't about the topic, then make a new thread in the Debate Section about it. We brought that section back from the dead so you guys can have formal debates under the pretense that it won't die out and get bumped every few months, like how it was on Guru.
And please remember: If you suspect someone of trolling, don't call them a troll in the thread by responding to them. Report the post where said person is "trolling", a mod will investigate the issue and take care of it. By doing this, you can get rid of the "troll" in one of two ways. If the person is an actual troll, that person will get in trouble and possibly banned, meaning that s/he is gone. And IF the mod decides that the person isn't trolling, then by not responding to that post, you get the second best method of getting rid of a troll: Ignoring them. Believe it or not, ignoring them works (most of the time).
Since the person trolling is most likely seeking attention, if s/he doesn't get any attention, s/he will get bored and leave. Of course, this doesn't always work, so in that case, just agree with the troll, no matter what they say. That way, if they continue to troll you, then they, in effect, are trolling themselves, since you now appear to have the same beliefs as the troll him/herself. So, unless they are partly of the attention whore troll subset, they will stop trolling you and move onto someone else, in which case, they will probably troll harder, in which case, a mod will deem it trolling, and ban the troll.
So if everyone can, please stop attacking each other. Stop getting into arguements over petty little things that shouldn't be discussed in threads, but rather better suited for private messages. And please stop trying to bait someone else into trolling you. We're supposed to be a friendly community, and with today's actions, I'm starting to question that.
So please, try to stop doing those three things, and nobody will be getting extra ban hammers in there diets. Thanks.

Woah, people are taking this the wrong way lol.
Look, there's nothing wrong with being silly and random and having a good time, but when it gets to the point where other members feel threatened or uncomfortable because of it, it's time to tone it down a little. In the past, the community has been excellent at controlling themselves. Today, it was just a matter of way too many things happening at once. Those who are to blame for it are being dealt with - and if you haven't heard anything specifically, then no worries, you're not in trouble, you can still run around and have fun etc. The problem was members insulting others, or creating topics meant to start fights, so on and so forth. We still have our spam section and it's still okay to make absolutely no sense, to tell jokes, to be funny, and to have fun in jest if people are comfortable with it. But starting a topic or making a post for the sole purpose of rubbing people the wrong way, insulting them, or attacking them, isn't ever going to be okay. ;A;
