Colored names?

  It's quite annoying, btw I wanted to say something to Arsik about staff favoritism but I think it would get a **** load of users pissed off so I think I wont go there.

  This is one of the best points I've heard about the colored names. It shouldn't be toward the users whom the staffs favored, and I say that everyone should have an option to buy a colored name in Forum shop.

  I agree with the general idea of, "If specific people can have it for no particular reason, why not everyone else?" It leaves people out for no reason. I think special icons/colors/whatever should signify something other than favoritism, whether it's someone working hard to earn enough money to change their name color, or contribute to the community in some way, or an accomplishment like winning an event/contest.

  This all started because I asked for event helpers to be brought back, and because they couldn't Osay thought it'd be nice to give me the purple name.

The entire staff decided that no regular member should be given something that will differentiate them from the rest of the community. No one is special. Everyone is to be treated the same. And yet, for someone that doesn't care at all, you sure are putting up a ton of defense for your special name color/icon that you never deserved in the first place. If you don't really care for it, then stop being aggressive because other members are asking for equivalence. I see no reason why they can't be upset because regular members are getting something that they had no chance of getting themselves. Yes, it's jealousy, but it still doesn't change the fact that they're right.
  
  If people could have their own special name colors available through the shop, or special name icons, or what have you, then there wouldn't even be this discussion in the first place. ANYONE in that scenario would be able to get it if they so wanted it. No one would be special because of that. No one can believe they're better than others because of that. But only giving certain people something others can't get, that's not right.

  From now on anything special that's not obtainable through the shop (like custom pets, icons, colours, title images, etc), will have to be through events or some fashion of earning the privilege.

  Since the staffs said the users with skull next to username will be removed... I noticed they're still there on few users, not being removed... what's up with that?

  He/she/it was part of a special group that had to be disbanded. The admin gave her a special token in remembrance of that group, sounds like a pretty valid reason to me. Why you people have to be so damn selfish? So if you can't have the cake no one else can?
