  That's not all. I predict a HUGE in flux of seasoned archers doing the Advancement exams over the next couple seasons and after. We might even see similar titles pop up for melee and magic exams.

  1. If you've got the money, yes. Carpentry should be much easier to rank.
  2. That's a pretty difficult title to obtain. You'll have to rank both Bow Mastery and Crossbow Mastery, grind out the ridiculously tedious Support Shot and compete against other players for the dan titles (which also cost AP).
  3. The last three skills which hit Mabinogi were melee skills. The only known future skill (in NA) is Shadow Bunshin, a melee skill. While i'm fine with melee receiving some sort of buff, range could really use a new active skill and Alchemists are dying for a renewal.
  
  Edit(1): This update might also make Arbalists more common, as people valued the improved mobility that crossbows provided when Arrow Revolver saw greater use.

  1) I'm confident it'll save a lot more money than it'll burn.
  2) Shouldn't be too difficult. An increase in archers taking part in the exam more or less means friends will likely be buddying up so people will have an easier time getting the required ranks. And then there's also the notion that not everyone taking the exam will be at an equal level of power, so Dan 1 and 2 should be relatively easy while people help each other clear Dan 3.
  3) Magnum Revolver! Crash Revolver!
  
  Wasn't the biggest issue with arbalests that they couldn't overgrade?

  Arbalists are crossbowmen. The arbalest is a crossbow. You can special upgrade either crossbow.
  
  There are a few reasons why people rarely use crossbows.
  1. They have lackluster range: Normal crossbows/arbalests, 1500; Upgraded crossbows, 1700; spirit crossbows, 1800.
  2. Crossbows lack min/max damage (though this is somewhat mitagated by their improved critical, it's pretty easy to get 90/130% critical with enchants.
  3. The campfire bonus (+50% damage) requires the player equips arrows, not bolts.
  
  The real challenge of obtaining the new title is mastering support shot, a skill which most people have left untouched.

  Some form of zombie and some variable form of CP gear, in addition to ranger destiny, plus enough crit to crit a boss-lvl enemy renders any challenge to mastering Support Shot obsolete. 4000 instances of not knocking down an enemy, 750 instances of hitting an awful enemy, 850 instances of hitting a boss, and 75 instances of critting a boss. Tedious, yes. But hardly challenging. Can likely be done in a few hours tops, not including the AP and ranks required to get to r1, which aren't really that difficult, either. The tedium from Support Shot doesn't come close to the tedium of some other skills. They even reward you for not knocking down/killing targets.
