And a mastery that makes sense!
Me gusta.

I wonder why there's a dagger mastery... Would that make daggers benefit from both sword, dual and dagger mastery?
=.= Single wield mastery plox...

I can only presume it boosts the effects of shields (not too sure about any passive defense related stuff, though), which means there's the chance of more protection. Which makes me a happy man.

I was thinking either;
1. Boost to literal Defense/Prot [would be bad for low-HP because of +DEF]
or;
2. Boost to Defense on skill activation when equipped with a shield.
or a mix or both with some tweaking involved

To keep things even, they'll probably only boost def/prot with the use of a shield of some kind. Or like passive defenses and give you a +prot/def bonus upon activation. (getting hit)
It would be nice if it worked more like defense, though :T and gave you +def (and prot) on advancement. I can't afford good gear/enchants. /SOB

OR, at r5+ or something, shield soaks up damage.
Maybe max of <10% at r1.
Also something that involves blocking a certain % of wounds would be nice [whether shield is equipped, or defense is being used? That is the question.]

Well if you're not dual wielding, wouldn't that mean that you'll use a shield hence the point of shield mastery?

This list was uncovered after the release of G13. Obviously Bow/Crossbow Mastery have been released. If we're to see any new weapon mastery skills, these will likely be first.
Shield Mastery 精通盾牌
Dagger Mastery 精通çŸåŠ
Dual Weapon Mastery 精通雙æŒ
Berserker 狂暴化
Bow Mastery 精通弓
Crossbow Mastery 精通弩
Magic Wand Mastery 精通法æ–
Magic Staff Mastery 精通權æ–
Alchemy Cylinder Mastery 精通鋼瓶
If you open the client files you'll have stuff like final smash, chaingun and super windmill. Just because those got uncovered it means nothing

That's not entirely true. Leaked information gives us insight into their development process. They may have considered "Dagger Mastery" at one point but ultimately decided to toss the skill. They might plan on releasing it in the future (which I highly doubt). It's what we call "food for thought".
Speaking of which, "Super-windmill" is an actual GM skill and chaingun was renamed "Arrow Revolver".

I think there IS super windmill, only GMs should be able to use it.
