It's much easier to be a jerk online because you're anonymous and there are no consequences. In real life, there are consequences.
You could get sued, arrested, the holy hell beaten out of you, or even killed. Real life's a *****.
Well being a serious jerk yea. But just in the verbal sense, (hate crimes are a little different, stay on topic) if somebody is calling you names you'll be the one to get in trouble if you just walk up and knock them out. Here, we have 50,000 lb. hammers of death with the word ban written on them.
Edit: Sorry 'Zac' *wink*
I was typing this before I saw your comment to drop it.

Pretty much what Zac said. All guys (and girls for that matter) have different opinion on certain things and the best thing you can do if you really is just be yourself. I'm pretty sure most of you can agree with me that the bigger issue behind these 10 points is that the girl is acting superficial and that guys don't like it. I mean everything in moderation is fine, as long as it isn't overdone and it doesn't feel like your forcing yourself to impress someone. That's just my take on it.

I don't really agree with the men, I think.
1. Most do, even if they think they don't. Truth is, a lot of girls are ass ugly without makeup.
2. In terms of not fat, but still curvey, like still having tits and an ass, yeah. I do believe men do like skinny women.
3. A lot do. A minority doesn't, I think.
4. I don't even know what that means.
5. I think girls are the ones who like it more than guys. But, some guys can appreciate a nice perfume, I think. Most adore my Chanel No 5.
6. Who thinks this? lol
7. Some can't at all. It's the female blindspot many men seem to have.
8. Uhh... not even sure what this means. If it means men don't like women who are fatties, then I agree. If it means girls that look good but can put away some food, then I disagree.
9. I don't think many people think this?
10. Most don't. Most girls don't either. Hell, hardly anyone knows what the damn word really means anymore.

Any guy that thinks that way is shallow. I'll be honest, that's not the way normal guys think at all. Everyone is different and society tends to tell you a lot of false truths. Usually to get you to buy beauty products.
Also, I'd like to think love still means something, it does to me anyways. If you go about saying words that you don't mean or don't even know what they mean that just makes you an idiot.

Well, I think its been established over the other threads that TA is a pretty shallow lady.
Not that I have any interest in TA at all, but hearing her say all these criteria for herself that literally and instantly knocks me out of her interest range almost kinda feels like an elbow to the stomach.

I doubt that the majority of guys that go OMG DON'T WEAR MAKEUP IT'S ALL LIES can even tell when a girl is wearing foundation/concealer etc.
It's the same reasoning as say, if you had a giant zit on your forehead, you might brush your hair down to cover it.
You could also say people are lying when they wear fancy clothes. I mean, why spend $200 on a jacket when you can get the same thing without the label for $20?
In the end, I just feel like makeup is being railed on unfairly >__> It's not like people are trying to make themselves a whole other person, it's just covering small flaws and making yourself perhaps more confident.
You put effort into dressing nicely and brushing your hair, why can't makeup be in the same category?
Again, it's only a problem if you go overboard with it...

I was trying to be nice about it but you took care of that for me. :XD: You also took the exact words I was looking for to describe what I meant. I can't really put it into words that will penetrate the years of the caked on expectations that people have set for you but guys don't really want that. If one says he does than just walk away. He'll dump you as soon as a prettier girl walks by.
Edit: thats just it though kazuni. Girls always do go over board, because anyone that's feels like they have to use makeup in the first place are going to want to pretty themselves as much as possible.

No, they don't. That's just an assumption, and honestly, it's kind of insulting that you think nobody has self control when it comes to these things.
It's like parents telling you that if they let you near a computer you'll have no self control and play video games all day long because you want to be entertained "as much as possible". Some people know where the line is.

Guess I'll take a crack at this now.
1. Men just love a good layer of makeup on a woman
Depends for me. On some women, it looks nice, and on others, depending on how much they put on, it can be a real turn off.
2. Men like skinny women
Again, it can depend. Me, I like a woman who has nice curves. Hourglass shape ftw :D.
3. Men like women with big breasts
Could care less about chest size honestly. . .
4. Men love women who are self-indulgent
Uhh....*Reads older posts* OH! Depends on what said interests are. If they're doing more harm than good, then mehh....*backs away*
5. Men adore the scent of perfume
Well, I've thankfully never smelled REALLY strong perfume. Can't really comment on this D:
6. Men are great fans of frilly/lacy clothing
I agree with Zid.
7. Men just can’t see through a woman acting cute ["burikko"]
HAH! HAHAHAHA!!!! AHAHAHAHA!! Ok I'm done. Annoying as all hell really. Trying to act all innocent is BS to me. I'd prefer someone to act like their true self towards me, even though I put on my own facade 95% of the time *Hypocrite D:* I won't act like my real self unless I trust you.
8. Men don’t like women who exhibit a healthy appetite
This is a good thing at times. As long as you two have similar interests in food, there's no problem. Extremely picky? Just wait until that pregnancy I bet....*Doesn't want to imagine one bit*
9. Men always love young women
Not everyone is like this. Reasons why it seems that way is hormones pretty much. Guys have the urge to reproduce like crazy, those that like women anyway, so seeing another hot young female will make the hormones rage, unless you have good self-control. Maturity is something I do look forward in women though, so....if you aren't acting around my level of maturity, no thanks. Ages +-3 also.
10. Men don’t say “I love you†because they don’t really love you
Sigh....*Shakes head* Somewhat related to my answer to #9. I will admit, I've sometimes used it jokingl, when I'm teasing my friends and they playfully tell me to go to hell then I'll say, "I love you D:" and they say, "Yeah yeah...". Guilty of that, but back on topic. It's.....hard for me to express emotions at times. This is because I'm always afraid of getting hurt. If I ever do tell a girl this and we're together, I MEAN it. >_>....

1. Agree with TA, my cousin's friend looks totally different with and without makeup. Maybe the question should be rephrased to whether or not men like their women looking like mimes.
2. In Taiwan they do. If they're too skinny, it looks like their arms are going to break off at the slightest touch.
3. Big boobs are nice, but they aren't a requirement for me to like someone.
4. Only if the man is a workaholic.
5. Sure, if it doesn't kill my nose.
6. If it looks nice and not outlandish, I could care less.
7. It would take a skilled woman to pull that off without someone noticing.
8. I don't want to be the only one eating halfway into my meal.
9. Someone around my age group is more important.
10. That depends when you're asking the man to tell the woman that. If the man says it when they're on a first date, it might not endear him to her.

I can tell. Mostly because I have a sister who never stops talking about make up and makes me look at tons of things. I guess I could say I'm a little more experienced in looking at make up than most guys are though.
But no, I'm not talking about the little bit you put on to conceal certain parts of your face and highlight other parts.
I work at the mall and I can tell you right now that 1 out of 3 young girls have too much make up on. Its sickening and disgusting. I know it can drastically change how a person looks with enough of it, and I know they look very different, maybe ugly without it.
But you know what? When you have so much make up on that the make up itself starts crusting off, or leave shapes behind on your face from any movements your facial muscles make, I know theres FAR too much. And you'd be amazed at how many are like that.
In middle school there would be girls who have worry lines on their forehead, only because the make up would constantly be pushed and molded into them.

I don't know what it's like where you live but I have yet to see even one person with that much makeup here, and I live in a really urban area and take 2 hours of transit every school day. You'd think I'd see a lot of people.
I like to observe what people wear/do/say on the bus, and I've see "too much makeup", but it's not even remotely CLOSE to what you're describing.
Also I'd like to point out that "too much makeup" doesn't just mean a thick cakey layer.. I've never seen that before.. that'd just mean the girl sucks at it, or buys crappy products. I doubt I even have enough to make wrinkles on my face with makeup. I don't even see how that's possible.
Have you seen any Michelle Phan videos or any other makeup gurus on youtube? That's what makeup is supposed to and intended to be like. Most of the time it's natural and enhances features instead of covering them.
Obviously if they're caking on their foundation you'd be able to tell, you'd have to be half blind not to.

My definition of too much makeup is if the person suddenly takes it off, you think to yourself "wow D: they look different". A lot of celebrities are a good example, when you see them in public they're so smooth skinned and pretty-eyed, then look at paparazzi shots of them in private and you hardly recognize some of them, they sometimes look 10 years older.
When it comes to people in general, I don't care, it isn't any of my business. But if the question is about my taste in women then yes it disgusts me. I don't want to wake up next to someone who doesn't look the same as when we went to bed together the night before. I want natural looks. I don't care about a wrinkle or if your eyes look too small or if you have a zit, I rather see a girl walk around and not give a damn.
