I think this is the right area, I was just wondering how hard is it to build a computer.

Pretty simple, especially these days where a lot of the parts are designed to only fit where they should. You can also find guides online, including video guides.

Yeah I was looking at a New Egg computer building guide and I wanted to know from you or anyone else here who built a computer how hard it exactly is. I wouldn't be able to build one since my brain doesn't like to work on the same thing forever p_p. That or it would take me forever to make one.

Think of it as a lego box set.
It'll only take you about 30 minutes.

Make sure you have a screwdriver and half a brain, and you should be able to do it.

30minutes? p_p. Oh yeah for a lego box set thingy but a computer seems a little bit harder then that. maybe 3hours.

My dad owns like 7 screw drivers I think I got that but I'm not exactly sure about half a brain. i can't crack my head open and look. Maybe one side got fried like an egg.

It kinda is like Lego, but it definitely won't take you 30 minutes. Expect to spend a couple hours if you want to get it done carefully, especially if it's your first time. I wouldn't say it's hard, but it can be time consuming and you have to be really careful. Mistakes can cost you a lot of money.

yeah thats what I think. IMO my future has to do with computers and stuff like that so I want to expect whats happening.
@edit: where is osay's really expensive computer thread?

It's here:
http://mabination.com/threads/24480-New-PC-completed
Excluding the 7 hours it took to build/verify my RAID array, the system took me about 6 hours to build, but keep in mind it's a hobby system. I did a ton of cable management and fancy stuff you normally don't waste your time on with a standard system.
I build server grade computers almost every day at work, and those take about 2 hours each for hardware + OS installation.
For a very basic computer it's about 30 minutes.
But I have tons of experience doing it, my very first basic PC I built probably took me all day of screwing up and trying to get it to work, and I didn't have google back then to try and find help.

If you got a good user-friendly case you even won't need that.
Okay except for the main platine I guess. ._.

Tool-less systems are kinda gross. :(

I've only built a computer once, but it wasn't as complicated as I thought it would be. Most of the things are pretty self explanatory, but for your first time it will definitely take you longer than 30 minutes.
