  Video games can help objectify victims to make the killers less sympathetic, but that's pretty much the only way it'll help you in a battlefield.

  That isn't even true though, sure I would commit the biggest homicide of PIXELS if I had the chance. But there's a huge difference between pixels and people. Most people playing these games wouldn't have anywhere near the balls to so much as hold a knife at someone. And the ones that do are probably crazy to begin with.

  When stressed out by orals or performance infront of people, one of the trick you are often given is to objectify people in your mind to make them look not human.. In some prison or extermination camp, the guards are often made to only see their prisonners as object instead of people, making the attrocities so much more easy to do.
  
  Video games with such kind of violence usualy make people able to learn to not hold back against targets that look human.. How much would it take to see real humans as no more than "targets that look human" instead... Of course, that kind of killing is against my moral.. If someone is to be killed, it's best that they are killed as a person, not as an object.. It removes the whole feeling of "sin" when killing something you don't see as human anymore.

  The only situation I would kill for is in defense of myself or others. That includes being threatened.
