  I'm very interested in making my own D: I haven't seen anything yet that made me say "oh crap I'm buying that right now", but the potential is there.
  
  I don't have room to make a proper work space here though (apparently it can be very messy and dusty when sanding them and all that, and needs lots of tools to do it professionally). I'll need to make myself a work room when I get my own place.

  If you get the good tools and setup a proper work space it will be, but then if you sell some of what you make it'll pay for itself quickly if you've seen some of the prices of the figures (especially adult ones).

  My first impulse is to go for KOS-MOS, but this figure almost twice as much as a standard figma. Other figma figures of the same box size cost about $60. So I don't now if it is worth the price.
  
  Meiya Mitsurugi has a nice combat uniform so I am warming up to this figure.
  
  Aegis also looks great with her weapons.
  
  I wish I can get them all, but I can only get one for now.

  I'm curious as to why KOS-MOS is so expensive... Is it a special edition with extra weapons/accessories or something? Or is it just really big? I'm a big fan of Persona, so I'm biased to Aigis...

  Depends on what you want and how much you'd like to spend. There's retailers overseas that ship from Japan like AmiAmi, Hobby Search, and HLJ. They carry a lot of different stuff besides figures and models too, but if you're impatient like me and want fast shipping, it's going to cost quite a bit. Plus, if you're in the US like me, USD to Yen isn't doing so well right now... Though, they have slashed prices, holiday sales, and pre order discounts pretty frequently too. Half of the time with shipping you break even on the MSRP.
  
  There are others stateside like GG Infinite, Tatsuhobby, and Hobbywave, all of which are located and ship from California I believe. They're more concentrated on gunpla with their stocks, but they have some other cool stuff too like Revoltech and some figma I think. The prices have markups sadly, but you save on shipping if you live close or in the States.
  
  If all fails and no one carries what you want or is sold out, you can always try eBay...

  Limited edition figurines or 1/7th figurines are usually around 8K ~ 12K...

  Figma KOS-MOS comes with a lot of accessories, and is rather large and intricate for a figma. The Aegis price seems a little high to me, as she's had a re-release and is fairly common and a bit prone to shelf-warming. Meiya is rather old and rare because of it, I've never seen her for anything less then $70 (usd) second-hand.

  I collect pretty much any kind of pose-able figure. Figmas, Revoltech, Busou Shinkis, Nendos (+petits), SH Figuarts, D-Arts, Four Horsemen, you name it. I also have a decent chunk of trading figures, like One Coins and R-Styles.
  
  Due to my area having a rash of earthquakes over the past half year, almost everyone had been reboxed. A few ladies took a shelf-dive. Subaru's the only one that took damage thankfully, with a broken (and now repaired) ankle.

  This is most of the boxes in my closet, with the rest being under my bed (highly un-photogenic). The ones behind other boxes are figmas from Nanoha, BRS, Evangelion, and Summer Wars.
  
  Now that the earthquakes are over, I've slowly started getting stuff put back up.

  The Vocaloid petits were the first figures I got, so still have some of the highest sentimental value to me. They have been on an ever-vigilant constant display. Until recently they had all been blu-tac'd down. ;_; The Sabers come in second place in my heart, and were the first to get back out of the boxes. I bought them in the middle of that whole mess, and never really got to do anything with them until now. There's nothing worse than waiting for a figure, and then once you finally have it, have to wait EVEN MORE.
  
  There's a few I still haven't but barely opened, mostly Nendos. I pretty much had to open them to check for quality/damage, play a bit, and put them back. Flandre was one of those, and it KILLED me. XD (She is my most wanted figma, I will die of joy if/when she's ever announced)
