my definition of religious?
Religious - the act of being ignorant and in need of mental therapy.
thats about righ since pharisees (or whatever way thats spelled) were just like that, and this "mythological man" named Jesus was against them. if you definition of religious wouldve been something like "believes in god/gods of some sort" i would´ve labeled myself as one. religion really is man made, but its not meant to be so imo. If religion is about following all the rules possible then im not in. It´s written on Bible that who believes and gets baptised is saved. so i dont understand people who add to it "if u dont eat xxx" "if u do xxx" "this doesnt apply if u do xxx".
i think what Brian Welch said in his facebook couple of days ago was pretty neat. "Religion sucks! But a life of mystical union with Jesus Christ is better than sex, drugs and rock n roll"

It's not as if you need to believe in God to have a "clean" life, though. Which is one thing that always bugs me about most Christians; they get that holier-than-thou attitude by thinking; OH, God saves me! He is going to take me to heaven! Everyone else is a sinner and a heretic!
People are more than capable of having a "good/clean/decent/sin-free/whatever you want to call it" life without being religious.

yeah theres "clean" people who are not christians (or islamists, buddhists etc etc.) and "dirty" people who are christians(or islamists, buddhists etc etc.).
I dont see why christians would be like that though, since EVERYONES a sinner(if they ever read bible ._.). if it was up to my own deeds, i would burn in hell (and it would be well deserved).
the keyword in christianity is grace, which you cant obtain by praying for hours on sunday ceremonies (or w/e theyre in english) or hitting people to head with bible or with anything you do, you can´t obtain it, can´t lose it or cant increase/decrease it.

'course, I went to a catholic school

same
As do I.
I usually like going by myself and being by myself during a Catholic Mass. It's a lot more thought-provoking and engrossing to me.

Guess who got forced to go to church tonight.
Guess who also had to change into a shirt without words, when the shirt with words is waaaay more comfortable, and totally fine to begin with.
Also, do you think singing hymns is considered blasphemous if you don't mean them?

I wouldn't be surprised.

Where I come from, no; it means laziness and/or lack of duty fulfillment.
I like a quiet Mass. In my opinion, I'd rather have people, who aren't willing to sing hymns with their 100% plus, not sing at all. Forced hymns don't sound well or inspiring.

I was curious, because we went to a church we used to go to, so we knew the songs. My mom made me sing.
Seemed wrong to me, when I didn't mean anything I was singing.

Religious people can be lazy too. They're humans, after all.
For starters, some Christian denominations allow priests to refuse conducting a Sunday Mass.

But I'm sure the Lord God doesn't take too kindly with laziness in his worship.

I'm not saying that's what their religion wants them to do. Just as if the boss of your job doesn't want you to slack on the work either.
I'm only stating the obvious: human error

Hurrr.
Yup. When I was younger I rather enjoyed it, mostly because, I'm homeschooled, so it provided social opportunities, as I got older, I didn't care so much for that, so it became just a drag to go. Then I actually paid attention, when through rigorous amounts of reading, sometime between changing churches, I began to realize how ridiculously stupid and terrible the preaching was at the previous church, then proceeded to evaluate the new church I went to.
I'm 16 and I still don't have the rights to skip church for any reason, even if I'm sick, or in the hospital. If I do I'm grounded for a month. At this stage in my life I rather enjoy it for multiple reasons.
