I definitely think there are good cops, but in this day and age, you really gotta be careful who you trust.
If a cop ever knocked on my door, I wouldn't open (as with any stranger). I'd talk to him through the door and if he needs to come in for whatever reason, he better come with a warrant 'cause no way in hell am I opening my door.
Some drunken woman got taken advantage of by two NYC cops about a month or so ago. It makes you really doubt your authorities sometimes.

No. Just no.

This is horrible.
My Mom had an experiance with a bad cop as well, he pulled her over for running over a stop sign when she didn't, and went to court for it.
Several years later, the same cop was on the news, apparently he was using the court time for overtime pay when he was doing it to basically everybody.

So the mass genocide of 330 million people is justified? Yeah k ._.
I wonder if Police officers have to be mentally evaluated at some point before they get their badge. Probably not due to lack of funding.

"Lack of funding"? You do know how many police arrest and charge people
just to get extra money, don't you?
The entire law system is based on money, not a lack of it.

I don't see what he did to need to be put down with such force. He was beat pretty badly too, and there's not really any justification beyond that, since police aren't always right ones. Individual cops themselves are the wrong ones, since if one thinks that something is necessary, they can do what ever the hell they want with it.
The people stand there watching because they really can't help at all...And that is just contributing to uselessness.

I'm also reminded of a quote right now.
"Law never made men a whit more just."

No I don't, I assume you have something to back up your claims?
