****ing seriously?!
God damn, people whine too much about inequality. If not the muppets, it has to be the mother****ing superheroes... what a load of............
Okay.
I'm all for gay superheroes, cartoon characters and whatnot, but not ones that have been around, are well known and have been loved for years. No, **** that. That's just screwing with the fans.
If they want to make LGBT superheroes, or whatever, they should at least make new ones. I would be cool with that, but this is just dumb.
And besides, spiderman being gay is just a further slap in the face. He's already geeky and nerdy enough as it is that you hate him. All it's doing is making him look "worse."
"Hey guys, how can we make Spiderman look even more whimpy?"
"Oh, I know! Let's make him gay!"
I swear to ****ing god, if I see Richard Simons fighting crime in 10 years, I'm gonna blow a ****ing gasket.
With that said... some yuri superheroes would be hawt. I have a soft spot for yuri... (not existing ones!)

Why would they bother identifying his sexuality? It should have nothing to do with a super hero, imo. I hate watching most "super hero" movies (I don't care for comics) because they always waste a huge amount of time on their supposedly broken relationships.
You're a super hero. I want to watch you kick ass. If you can do something besides kick ass, I don't want to know about it.
Oh...and as far as the above quote is concerned, you're the one making the connection being "whimpy" and "gay". It seems to me that Marvel thinks super heros can be badass regardless of their background.

The connection is the stereotypical "That's fabulous!"-type.

I never did follow Marvel that much.
Personally I'm not into Batman, Robin, Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain America, or any of that crap.
Interesting change nonetheless.

Batman and Robin aren't Marvel.

...Wow, just wow.
I'm not going to post a long rant on how idiotic and closed minded this terrible post is, I'll keep it short.
Marvel has gay super heroes and they're not "whimpy" just like all homosexuals in real life are not whimps.
With that said... some yuri superheroes would be hawt
Wow, and your biased.
Can this post get any worse?
I'm surprised you didn't say anything offensive due to the fact that he's a half-black latino.

People whine about inequality because despite the fact that we're so "diverse", the comic book industry is still largely dominated by white males, both behind the scenes and as protagonists/characters in general. There was a drop in the amount of female writers for comic books recently, and that number was already depressing with how low it was.
I guess fans are still so closed-minded that they can't handle change that corresponds to their own, contemporary times?
Killing off a hero to re-new the series isn't a new concept. It's very clear that this kid ins't Peter Parker. It's not like they're taking Peter Parker, randomly changing his ethnicity to Black+Latino, then possibly changing his sexuality. This is a different person that isn't going to change how the original functioned.
How much of his background do you know that you know he's a whimp? Besides, they said the gay thing was only a possibility.
So you're fine with homosexuality as long as they're female? This black+Latino guy isn't the original Spiderman. He's a new one, so shouldn't that be fine too, if he ends up being gay? Why does he have to be the same kind of outcast as Peter? Maybe this is what isolates him from others.

Oh and I forgot to add Miles Morales is not replacing the Spider-Man you all know.
Yes, he's replacing Peter Parker but he's not replacing Parker from the Earth 616 timeline which is the official Marvel universe, he's replacing Parker in the Earth 1610 timeline which is an alternate universe but (of course TA didn't know that)
Marvel at least has 50 different universes and super heroes die and sometimes get replaced in them it's not a big deal.
But I have to admit it's pretty funny to see people like TA talk about things like this where they have barely any knowledge in the subject and act so high and mighty about it.
But anywho, does this effect me? Not at all.
I rather have someone replace a super hero than have the hero die off completely.
I'll read the comic when it comes out since it's not a big deal.

This is why I don't like alternate universes. :[
I do like the new spiderman though.
