Not really... It just takes practice and lots of [S]rl grinding[/S] training/sports activities.
Edit: Masculinity is overrated big time IMO. Doesn't make anyone more or a man or anything. The whole notion is kinda stupid and in extreme cases gives rise to tools.

Haha, forget masculinity, it's just the fact that you can do 147 push-ups consecutively. That's just an awesome feat. :)

If you want a real pushup, try one with a vertical incline with your legs on a workout ball and both your hands on an upside down workout ball's base plate!
Now that's hard!
If you want to make it harder, put the ball up higher so you have a larger incline.

Something like this:
The trick is that you're having to balance not only both your arms but both your legs too, so it's wayyy harder. That and the incline just makes it worse.
Even this is hard, without the incline & foot ball:

Anyone else notice TA refuses to say how many normal pushups she can do?

At once, as in, not taking a break and then going for it again.
I can do 25-30.
And I mean real push-ups, not the modified ones (also known as "girl push-ups').

Though if the girl ones are all you can do, then how many? :thumb:
for some reason by the image those "sissy" pushups look harder, or just less comfortable
anyways normally always 20 (if I'm doing it right iunno, my arms like go different places every time I do them)
it never really goes down or up for some reason o-o; but if I am motivated enough I guess I can do more

I can do around 65 on average which I think is pretty good. Anyone that can do over 100 without pausing would probably be insanely strong (or at least fairly muscular).
@trufire, I don't think 1K pushup without pausing is at all possible. I mean if you think about it, you'd basically be doing pushup for almost half and hour at a decent pace (around 1 push-up / 2 seconds). Any faster and you'd probably get tired out before you got even halfway there.
It's possible. Will I likely reach that goal? No. Probably won't even come close. But it's a hell of a goal. The people who've managed it have absurd amounts of stamina in the first place and are frighteningly disciplined. And the scary part is, that's a routine for a few of them. A daily routine. >.<
@chaolin: I thought needlessly beating people to a pulp as a show of dominance was the measure of masculinity, not testing your physical limits as a personal hurdle. :o

and because I posted before I read all the way I'mma suggest a
"Bruce Lee pushup"
and if you don't know what I mean, it's that one where you use your thumbs I think

I feel like I would fall off the incline and hurt myself. :XD:
