40-50. I feel so unfit, since it's way less than I was originally able to do.
If it was sit-ups, it would be a way different story.

Something like this:

The trick is that you're having to balance not only both your arms but both your legs too, so it's wayyy harder. That and the incline just makes it worse.
Even this is hard, without the incline & foot ball:

I see. The difficulty from those stems from your inability to balance. Those are definitely good for toning/fat burning.

It's possible. Will I likely reach that goal? No. Probably won't even come close. But it's a hell of a goal. The people who've managed it have absurd amounts of stamina in the first place and are frighteningly disciplined. And the scary part is, that's a routine for a few of them. A daily routine. >.<
@chaolin: I thought needlessly beating people to a pulp as a show of dominance was the measure of masculinity, not testing your physical limits as a personal hurdle. :o
Ah. Some people still get off by imagining that there's some sort of competition between themselves and everyone. You'll see them at the gym usually making the most noise/grunting/etc. Those people are annoying as hell and they bug me to no end lol.
As you proposed though, challenging yourself without comparing your accomplishments to others is a pretty mature testament to one's character though :D-b

I AM in shape for my age.
I'm not gonna go on a strict diet..
I just tend to eat less cause I starve my stomach.

I feel like I would fall off the incline and hurt myself. :XD:
lol, workout with friends or family... when you do fall, it's a great laugh. You may even get a pretty good workout from laughing so hard lol... xD
Though a very important piece of advice... Don't keep your head pointed down while doing pushups because if you do fall, you could break your nose or something. Look up or to the side.

I haven't
refused to say how many pushups I can do... I just haven't.

Hm... I was able to do ~80 my senior year during the last NJROTC PT test, but that WAS 3 years ago. Honestly haven't done a single push-up since then, so it'll probably be ~20-30 now, lol.

I forget which one it is...
You can be in shape, but not be fit.
Or you can be fit, but not in shape.
As in, you can look banging, but when you run a mile, you're out of breath and dying. Which one is it?
