Quote from Kollin;567231:
Glas was a failed Morrighan that the Pontiff Court tried to create, meaning of course its not gonna look like her,
Wasn't Glas actually the failed summon of Morrighan by Brynn rather than Pontiff Court? It's mentioned in the side quest "A Magician's Secret."
Nyle mentions
Five years ago, some fool child tried to summon the
goddess and bring Erinn to the world, all by himself.
No one though he could succeed. So they paid the child
no heed. But that boy was talented...
He found a way to open the dimensional door in
Catacomb. That night, many people died...
That child was injured, too, and now he is confined
to the magical protection offered by a Magic Laboratory.
To leave that protection would mean certain death...
Also, later in that conversation, Brynn mentions
Of course not! I have forgotten nothing... I remember it
all, all the vile events I am responsible for.
In which Reilly responds
Good! Good! Though...that night WAS fun...
The monster with the legs. What fun he was to play
with! A big toy!
But we can't play here...
Along with that, is an image that resembles the look of Glas.
After the events that Brynn was involved in, Pontiff did attempt to control Glas, in which Reilly sealed him away in the Catacombs when they failed.
and to answer someone else question about the spiders, Wershandt (the white spider you kill in the tutorial, Tieve's pet) was controlled by the Fomors to cause havoc. the red Giant Spider, and the Laghodessa attack you because you are invading their territory, and The Queen was the mother of Wershandt and since you happily waltzed into his burial ground she decided to take revenge. other than Wershandt, the spiders had nothing to do with the Fomors. in fact, the spiders are supposed to be the allies of the Brotherhood, but due to all the crap happening they have since ceased the alliance.
This is true. Brynn mentions that the spiders were allies of the Brotherhood.
