I also didn't know of this .-.
Raising awareness is a long shot tactic, but the OP wasn't trying to change anything by doing so they said. Generally being unpleasant in a thread that's raising awareness is even a longer shot at accomplishing anything.

Duels, yes. People stalking you and windmilling, no.
On the other hand, who else would duel you? Some random dude for lulz? Maybe, but not really likely.
That's also paranoid, there's no way of knowing that someone is following you, or someone who just so happens to be near you, since, let's face it, you won't notice every person on your screen with ctl+n on or not and Desert Dragon raids are chaotic. So it's easy to blame someone for windmilling in your direction.
My point was that it's pointless to blame when there is no proof.
It makes the accuser look worse than the accused IMO.
Also the name calling, and the label of "hax" is just so classy.

I agree with you.

If the person is wearing an outfit that stands out and repeatedly milling then flying up and waiting to repeat until after you've dodged/died+rezzed then it gets suspicious.

It's very easy to blame someone for requesting pvp on you, just because they get finish.
But, in actuality, there's no real way of knowing who it was(that I know of atleast)
There is a very easy mod which will allow you to see who is requesting pvp against you. Blame it on DevCat/Nexon though, because this is information that is *supposed* to be visible to everyone.
The line in question reads:
Would you like to join the PvP battle against {0}?
or
Would you like to accept the Pet Battle challenge from {0}?
but it gets cut off before the name is written.
A mod lets you shorten the question to something like: PvP {0}? Pet PvP {0}?

@ adori: of course it is hard to tell with such a popular field boss as dd, but it happens during normal raids, where there are usually very very few potential finishers. when it happens there, you can tell who it is, especially when most of the people present are your friends.
@ tibarn: tibarn likes to troll. if you don't care about this subject, get out, and dont think that just because you know this happens that 99% of players knows this. in fact, most people who participate in field boss raids like to hit once and sit back, so they probably won't know what's going on.
ps. i dont know why the said person does this during dd. the event dd's dont even give very much exp, and the finisher's name doesnt appear on the screen, so what's the point of trying to steal someone's finish?? god.

If I didn't care, would I be in here?
It's
common sense. OF COURSE people are going to try to get the finish for themselves. OF COURSE they're going to try to prevent other players from getting the finish.
How
can't you know that?
There are
thousands of Mabi players. Suggesting that 99% of them know what "pros" do to get field boss finishes is a reasonable estimate.
Edit: Also, if you don't reply to me, I don't reply back~

99% of mabi players do NOT know what pros do to get field boss finish. >_> 45%-60% is a reasonable estimate

Are you kidding?
Like I said before,
common sense. If you don't know that someone will take drastic measures to get the best drops, the most experience, and their name across the top of the screen, then something is wrong with you.

if you dont read other people's posts, dont post on here. i already said the event dd doesnt give much exp, and the finisher's name doesnt show.
you tell people to have some common sense?? how about you get some common sense to read other people's posts so you don't say things contrary to what was already said. fyi, the finisher gets crap drops a lot too you know.
also, even if people do know that they do cheat, they dont know how they cheat. ã…‹.ã…‹
a lot of people in this thread didn't know about the pet duel method, now did they?? don't try to speak for all of mabi. oops my bad... 99% of mabi?? just because you know certain things doesnt mean they know the same things.

Apparently you can't read.
Has anyone said anything about me repeating things? No. I won't waste my time reading the other ****ty posts when my posts revolve around yours alone, specifically your first one.
Go out and poll
every single person that plays this game, NA and foreign servers, then get back to me. We'll see what the percentages are.
Now. Read this time.
PM me if you want to discuss this further.
(Clear enough for you?)
Also. Reading other people's posts doesn't require common sense. It requires motivation to do so and the energy required to carry it out.
Learn how to use the words "common" and "sense" together.

Um, excuse me?
I've had my name flash across of the top of the screen and I enjoy the exp. However I don't pull stupid stunts like this to gain an upper hand. I fight the boss normally and enjoy the hit race against other people who fight normally. What's usually fun is ruined by these underhanded tactics.
Red Dragon today was a nice sidetrack, I was able to nail 1 of the 4 kills we had.
Also, don't spread false information like finishers get the best drops. Drops are completely random, and apparently "99% of the Mabi population" knows this stuff, so why don't you? Quit trolling.

1.) As I said in a previous post, some people don't get
exaggeration. Must I go back and quote it? Or are you intelligent enough to figure out how to press the correct button?
2.) Find me
proof that drops are random. I seem to get better drops when I finish it, not counting the gold that you get.
3.) People
do take measures to get the things I listed. Just because you don't doesn't make it false.
4.) Replying to the trolls makes them reply back. "Common sense." :thumb:

Let's not get into another fight here :D
Honestly, i don't know much about what extent people go to just to get the finish. The times where i have been there when the dragon spawned, it was far too laggy to even see who was bringing who down, intentionally. But i can accept the fact that some people would do almost anything to get the finish, whether the dropped items are random or not, or whether their name goes across the screen. Sometimes, just knowing you did something amazing gives you this feeling, even if you cheated to get it. I certainly don't support it, but i don't think Nexon can do much about it. When does this event end?

1) Exaggeration or not, people on Nation are more or less interested in this thread. Even if "99%" or only "40%" or whatever know this goes on, you're still trolling by saying this thread is pointless.
2) Find me proof that drops AREN'T random. Just because you may get better drops when you finish doesn't mean they're related. My guildmate got a Beholder Shield from Red Dragon by shooting it once and then freezing until it died. I, on the other hand, got 4 Wound 10 potions on my kill. In fact, I've had 14 Desert Dragon finishes and never had a Dustin item drop, while sitting on the sidelines and leeching dropped around 3-4 Vambraces for me. My other guildmates who have never gotten a finish are winding up with Avenger armors and way more Dustin items than I am.
3)
Some people do. Just because they do, doesn't mean that everybody does. In fact, the people doing it on Ruairi are the only ones who seem to be doing it, the other people who I've seen get finishes usually do it pretty fairly as well. Nor does it make it okay to do so, or stupid to complain about it. Even if we can't stop them from being jerks, we can at least change their image somewhat for the community, which is a good start imo.
